Most of us judge how our season is going to go after the first 12 games. Lets take a closer look at these 12 games.
Sat Aug 2 - Peterborough United (H) - 12.30pm, live on Sky
A big burly side who had a disappointing last season finishing 18th. They won the EFL cup against Birmingham which is scant concilation. They will be a difficult start for us but not impossible to beat.
Thurs Aug 7 - Port Vale (A) - 8pm, live on Sky
Came up from league 2 through an auto place. This without doubt will be a difficult game.
Sat Aug 16 - Rotherham United (H)
Since dropping out of the Championship they seem to have settled into a league 2 outfit. This will be a test to see of we are up to a promotion push.
Tue Aug 19 - AFC Wimbledon (A)
Cane up through the play offs. Another big burly side from the Vinny Jones era. I just feel they could be too much for our young side.
Sat Aug 23 - Luton Town (A) - 12.30pm, live on Sky
We know about these and I'm expecting nothing from this game.
Sat Aug 30 - Plymouth Argyle (H) - 12.30pm, live on Sky
Perhaps the favourites to go up. Another nil punt for us.
Sat Sep 6 - Burton Albion (H)
The easiest of our opening games. 3 points and nothing less else we are going to struggle.
Sat Sep 13 - Stockport County (A)
This will be a very tricky game. They surprising got to the play offs, nearly got an auto. If they are not having withdrawal symptoms from failing then we will do well to come away with a result.
Sat Sep 20 - Bradford City (H)
Came up from league 2 with an auto. They are going to be very difficult to beat.
Sat Sep 27 - Wigan Athletic (A)
This club have been messed about over the last few seasons. I see them struggling this season ajd we should take full advantage of it.
Sat Oct 4 - Leyton Orient (H)
They must be disappointed failing in the play off. Lets hope they are having withdrawal symptoms. We should beat them.
Sat Oct 11 - Barnsley (A)
Mid table last season and expecting the same this season. We should come away with a point at least.
Concluding. I reckon top mid table after these games.
Thoughts.

Luton, Plymouth and Stockport will be the big early tests.
If we lose at Vale and Wimbledon then it's time to panic.

Top half of table will be OK considering new manager and several new young faces... got uo be on a position to push on whilst adjusting to div 1

Ill wait to see how we get to grips with League 1 pace, toughness. I think that will be the key on how we handle it.

8 wins, 2 losses, 2 draws

I can't predict as we don't know yet what players we have if none are sold we could be top half injury free if no players come in to add to us then I think we might struggle remember this team finished bottom most goals concealed for years nothing has changed except new coach time will tell

Two things have changed. New league and as you say, new manager.
Could be new tactics, attitude too.

I think I'm a little bit more positive if we can keep our best players.
I think Wintle may end up being the captain and could play a key role this season.
If we keep hold of Salech then we have the strongest front 3 in the division with Ashford, Davies, Robinson , Willock & Tanner.
A lot rides on Colwill but I have a feeling this will be his break through season and will be far too good for league 1. Then in defence I really like Fish. Bagan had an excellent season in the championship last season. You would expect him to go up another level this year. He gives us cover at CB and LB.
Ronan Kpakio is another exciting talent and then we've also got Lawlor looking comfortable against Villa.
Add to that a CB we paid millions for and Chambers should also be a cut above at League 1 level.
Yes we need a bit of freshness with a couple of signings but there is a lot to be hopeful for this season

Come at me if I’m wrong by all means, but I think you are wrong on at least 5 of those.

6 wins
4 draws
2 losses
22pts
That's my prediction I think we will improve as the season goes on, I have us finishing 4th come May

Exactly how I see it...

I sometimes wonder if people are naturally negative or whether they have to work at it.
Even seen people say we'll get relegated which is an incredible take, given there are some god awful teams in this division.
