I can't wait for the season to start

This place is a bit of a cesspit at times.

People desperate to write the manager off. They were probably hoping we'd lose to Southend so they'd have something to be critical about.

I always believed in giving people a chance.

Others clearly don't, trying to criticise a manager for not turning up to an U21 game FFS

What's more, none of those players playing tonight will be part of the first team.



Can't wait for the season to start so people will either have something to really complain about or be forced to actually realise we have a good manager.

Half tempted to not even come on here until the season starts because the posts from some so called fans is beyond ridiculous and actually quite pathetic.

Genuinely don't know what they get out of it.

BBM did say after Saturday that there will be signings (something some people, not you, have chosen to ignore).

But I agree that some will be surprised in a good way.

I put my opinion across on threads and got called a Tan Lover, Tan Sympathiser etc etc by the Tan Out committee because my opinion was different.

And it’s not young kids calling people names, it’s people in their 50s and 60s.

Is anyone ever right in your eyes though? Anyone bar yourself that is. Your one of the main/chief moderators on here aren't you? Surely that means you should try and let conversations flow a bit...try and remain a bit impartial/unbiased.

I'll be honest, people like you make me want to stop moderating this forum.

I put hours a day into this forum and work extremely hard for Annis, who I consider a friend.

But dealing with this bullshit is not what I signed up to so I will be honest in my replies - which I've done in this thread.

Your posts were deleted because you made personal comments which were out of order, I could have banned you but I'm generous.

Maybe I won't carry on moderating this forum and I'll tell you that a replacement may not be so kind.

Worcester you are 100% correct some of these posters are pathetic to use your words and need to grow up please keep going although I don't know you I do respect you as a moderator on this forum.

My feelings on the subject is that any fan should have a right to express their feelings. However, there is away of doing it.
To make statements such as 'this player is shit or our squad is crap etc is pathetic and criticism is justified.
On the other hand, if a point is put across however positive or negative about the club, but with reasons, it should be accepted.
Anyone has the right to respond without insulting that individual, giving their own point of view.
We don't all feel the same about the clubs current state of affairs.

Ned, I am with you here.I am also really looking forward to the new season I cant wait, i feel very positive about it with
the squad already have,and the new players coming in, I feel we will have a very good season, here we go, here we go

I am really looking forward to the season and football being back in General, despite all that is going on with a possible sale or not, I am hopeful we can get a playoff place or better, but consistency will be needed of course to do that.

Regardless of that really looking forward to it. a sale will bring a huge boost to the club if happens during the season, no sale there will be a lot of negativity and protests but on the pitch, keep what we have add some new faces, even if a couple more go, I do like the manager come across very well so far, and is hungry to prove himself and it’s a chance for many players to step up! think we will be ok.

As for the moderators, it’s totally different to popping on having a rant, or giving views and going off to do something else within a few minutes, like you say you put in many hours of your time every day, and if it was not for you guys that do this, of course there would be no forum, I think despite people disagreeing and having a go at you guys at times, they all really appreciate the time and effort you put in so we can have this forum, if they don’t they should 100%.

I don't know you at all Ned but I do enjoy your posts, and you seem to know what's going on with our beloved club, I do agree with you with some of the comments on here knocking BBM, I watched the Southend game from the comfort of my living room and was very impressive with the first half, which I think involved probably most of his first team preferences, a hell of an improvement on last season's shit. Keep up the good work and don't let anyone piss you off, like most people think see how we are after 12 games. I think people will be happy with BBM then.
