OT= BBC Website

What the actual f**k??????

They've made it so you need a subscription ($89 a year) to read just about anything that might even be slightly interesting, except thankfully not the sports pages so far. Anyone have any website for British news/sports that they use & might be okay for us ex pats? And don't even suggest WOL, that place is useless.

I'm not here to discuss the merits or otherwise of the BBC as I am quite capable of forming my own opinion on most things & this isn't the only website I use but nothing compares to their range of topics.

Have you tried newsnow?

Sometimes use it to follow the day's stories if I don't have time to follow them properly.

Thanks but I'm in California so no floods here. it is wild fire season though so here's hoping it's a quiet year.

That's the website address I've used for 30 years now & they only started the subscription thing this last weekend. I don't have a VPN & all the free VPNs I've tried just infect my laptop with all sorts of stuff that I can't get rid off.

I'll just look at the headlines & move away from them for anything more involved.
