Salech 100% will be sold by Cardiff City’s Hierarchy:
Aged 23 perfect for Cardiff City & Murphy
How much?
Will be interesting:
I will also say now, they will say through Media Wales, they could not stop him.
His wages are 50% less same with every player if relegated, but he is under contract and they could pay the full wages.
I believe Salech will get 20 plus goals for Cardiff this season, that alone is worth £10Mill.
Personally

I have no knowledge either way but I'm not convinced he'll be sold.
Well documented that he would like to stay.
They may well sell him, I don't know. But I'll cross that bridge when/if it comes to it.
I'm sure there's general interest now but I still don't think many clubs would take the chance on him based on half a season.
So I hope he stays and will reserve my judgement until the decision is clear - one way or the other.

Is this a 100% as in it's come from someone like Romano who can be trusted?
Or is it 100% as in mate of a mate told my milkman, who then told me?
I don't see him being sold - we aren't in a position where we need to sell him and he's our most important player moving forward.
Mon Jun 23, 2025 3:13 pm
If the clowns sell Salech if the boy doesn't want to leave, that'll say a whole lot about the continued lack of ambition at the club - the player has only been here 6 months and apparently, we don't have to sell.
Then again, why would the club give a damn when they've sold over 11000 STs on the back of very little positive news, including the relegation.

Your right he does not want to leave, but you know how our Hierarchy work our fans will turned to believe he wanted to.
They are already in discussions.
If they did not want to sell, they would SAY NO END OFF.

If the player wants to stay but is sold anyway, least we will know that the clowns running this circus are not a bit interested in getting this club back to the championship you don't rid of your best striker if you want promotion.
I am quickly coming to the end of my tether with this circus of a club.

I think he should at least give us until the January transfer window and see how we’re doing and if he’s scoring for fun in league 1 then surely his stock will go up and be worth more money
Mon Jun 23, 2025 3:45 pm
I didn't believe we would get promoted or even compete in league 1 next season because of this exact reason. The C*nt (hate using that word but its appropriate here) will asset strip us and possibly put us in another relegation dog fight because he hasn't got a clue and couldn't give 2 shits about the fans.
Any news on cardiff these days I automatically assume is bad and just another shitshow
Mon Jun 23, 2025 4:12 pm
I personally don’t think he’ll be sold.
He is our biggest asset at the moment, and if tan wants us to go back up there’s no need to sell him, most the big wages have gone.
Like I said I believe he will stay.
Mon Jun 23, 2025 4:18 pm
Ffs so he’s 100% going , sick and tired of this club nothing to look forward to just misery.
Mon Jun 23, 2025 4:28 pm
Seems like a simple case of asset stripping to me. The only thing Tan wants is his money back,,, and anything, or anyone, that can command a price, or a cost cut, will be done.
If VT still owns City by the end of September, I, in my opinion, expect another season of "struggle"!

I agree.

I’ve thought he would be sold as soon as we got relegated. It’s Cardiff city. If we can get 5m for a player we payed 4m for we will sell. It’s what we do. Hierarchy are clueless when it comes to negotiations. If they sniff a slight profit they’ll cash in.
Mon Jun 23, 2025 4:45 pm
I can’t seem to find a single thing online linking Salech with a move away from us either.
He’s happy here, the board have stated we don’t need to sell, and BBM will surely have had some clarification on things before he took the job.
Still don’t see it happening.
Mon Jun 23, 2025 4:46 pm
Nobody on here has any idea who will be sold/loaned out and who we will try to buy
It’s all pure guesswork without knowing any of the facts
There will obviously be some movement in and out but it’s all speculation at the moment especially the bit about relegation clauses in players contracts. Only the player and the CEO will know that
Mon Jun 23, 2025 4:51 pm
If we start selling all our best players then actually it may be a positive sign that Tan is asset stripping and ready to sell. So be it. It may take longer to go back up but we'd have a new owner. Indications are thats not the case though. Tan wants to stay. So selling Salech would not make sense unless there was a huge offer and I can't see it. Hes had half a season at Championship level so still unproven. 100% being sold, I think not.
Mon Jun 23, 2025 5:12 pm
5 mil i recon would make a profit on the player
Mon Jun 23, 2025 5:27 pm
It's Liabilities Vs Assets.
If Tan wants to sell the club, then the assets and cash are in the same column, so he doesn't benefit.
If he lowers his liabilities by the cost of Salech, he loses his assets by the same value, so it's netted off.
$100m liabilities v $80 assets is the same as $95m v $75mill.
We need to get back to the championship (then the Premier League) to increase the asset side. Selling Salech if he is not pushing makes no sense in any way.

Are "asset stripping" the new buzz words on here because if we keep him or sell him I don't get how that amounts to this so called asset stripping that people keep saying or is it just another thing to have a go at the clowns for? It's not like there's not plenty of shit to use to blame them for or criticize them for already.
Everybody wants the clowns gone so I just don't get the asset stripping part, maybe someone with more knowledge of actual asset stripping can explain it for us not feeble minds who are not understanding. Might just be me though.

That’s an over reaction to a rumour about a possibility of him going.

I 100 percent think he will stay

Exactly.
I think he'll either stay or go for silly money. I don't see anyone offering silly money for a player who's only had half a season in the EFL.
So I believe he'll stay.
But I said the other week that there are certain people who always reply with things like that because their hatred of Tan has meant they've abandoned all possibility of things going well - they'll do that with signings, they did it with the manager (without actually looking at the details) and they'll continue with that.
Ironically they also called Salech "another donkey from abroad then, no different to Kanga" when he signed in January.
I'm not singling anyone out, this is about a few people.
I want Tan out as much as the next person but I don't think replying with constant negativity helps anyone.

Sorry I over reacted to Salech 100 % being sold didn’t mean to offend anyone

I can’t see him going anywhere as we want to get out of this division, it makes no sense to sell if we are pushing for promotion.
BBM has already stated players don’t need to be sold.
Mon Jun 23, 2025 7:21 pm
It would be an absolute ridiculous decision to sell him.
I discussed the SCMP financial rules the other day and based on the players that have left, and assuming a 15,000 average crowd, we could afford to quadruple his salary to say £20,000 per week and still be well below the 60% threshold.
The club cannot say they couldnt afford him.
£20,000 per week is £1m per year. Promotion alone is worth £10m as Annis suggests.

Me neither, I can't see it, unless it's for a whack and BBM has convinced them he could improve the team a lot more with £10Mill for Salech, and has been promised the money.
Tan wants promotion to be able to sell for more, so he will give it a go again this season.

Worcester, like 90% of clubs, we are a selling club.
If anyone bids a high price for any of our players then I believe we’ll sell.
I don’t know where this 100% we’ll sell rumour comes from but I believe we won’t sell Salech this summer but of course if he has another good season or even half a season with a good amount of goals then the vultures will be circling.
It’s the way of football.
