Re: I can confirm Salech / Lets see hierarchy??

According to Transfermarket, we bought him for 4 mill Euros (£3.45million), so surely it's going to be at least double or treble your money to get him.

How many Championship clubs are going to spend £9~10 million on less than half a season? And who can muster that sort of money? Leicester, Southampton or Ipswich are the only ones with money.
Sheffield are at the make-or-break second season out of the Premier League but still have a big squad with loads of strikers

Actually, it’s not (quote) “up to him”. He’s only been here a few months, he is happy but more importantly under contract, so it would be a huge gamble on his part to try to ‘force’ a move only for the club to say no

I fully understand the interest but those clubs apparently chasing will be seeing a Tan-led Cardiff as an easy target and a sale of our best striker ahead of a season we really need him, is one that would only be softened by an awful lot of money that would not could) be reinvested in the squad

Reinvested???? That’s the end of that, then! :ayatollah:

What I mean is if he wants to play at a higher level then why would we want him if his heart is not in it. Personally I think he will stay.

Not having a go; just stating the club’s position and I see your point

My thought is that at the end of last season, Salech was the player that showed the most emotion when we were officially relegated. He had tears in his eyes and that kind of passion and commitment needs to be harnessed and used for the coming season

Of course, if someone came in with a big offer (whatever that is) for him, then things might change. But the good news is we are off-loading bigger wages ((Robinson, Rinomhota, etc.) and will get fees for those too, so the need to sell Salech is for me, dwarfed by his value to the squad, club and fan base next season

I hope ‘The Committee’ are reading this, as assuming he stays (I feel he will, too), he will become a cult hero! :ayatollah:

I think it’s too early for people to make an offer we would struggle to refuse at this stage, but if he’s on fire in league 1 and turning heads then January could be very difficult.

Hopefully, if he is smashing in the goals it’ll result in us being on top or very near by January to try and distract him from championship clubs sniffing around

He's said we are expecting promotion so has the new manager so we shall see if he's talking shit or not who's sold and kept although I'm 99% sure the club are talking promotion bullshit just to sell season ticket as usual but we have seen it all before.

His agent, whoever that may be will be pushing for a Championship club :bluebird:

I agree but he can say to the agent that he’s happy and doesn’t want to move.

His agent will be knocking Choo's door, telling him of the interest and whether a pay rise is on the cards, or he is not doing his job.

I absolutely agree that that's what he may well be doing I'm just saying that if Salech is adamant that he wants to stay, there's nothing that his agent will be able to do.

Will score 20-30 goals

Wouldn't go that far, we need a number of other decent signings as support.
But losing him will be a serious loss!

Keep Salech and he will be League One top goalscorer. He will be worth a lot more in a year's time. If City were smart, they'd keep him.

My worry is if tan is going to sell the club he will start cashing in on as many of our valuable assets as possible
