Definitely take this guy looks like he’s out the door at Wrexham he would score a load of goals in this division
Fri Jun 20, 2025 6:25 am
He scored 3 last year in 26 games Why would he score loads in this division and did not last year

If we sign Mullin, we're planning for L2, not a sharp return to the prem.
Fri Jun 20, 2025 7:23 am
Yes, would offer more of a goal threat than Etete.
Fri Jun 20, 2025 7:41 am
Why on earth would we sign a player who has never been successful at League 1 in his whole career !!??
He was successful at League 2 and National League level but just hasn’t got it at the higher level.
He’s not a youngster on the way up that’s for sure.
Fri Jun 20, 2025 7:46 am
He’s scored 5 goals in two seasons in League 1 for Tranmere and Wrexham. That’s Etete level scoring !!

The spell that welcomes to Wrexham has spun is truly a media miracle.
He is an L2 striker that they paid over the odds for to get them out of the national and L2. He is a luxury player at that level and still needs a big centre forward to graft for him.
The only thing Page did right was not invite him to the Wales squad like a lot wanted.

We need to be looking higher than wrexhams scraps.

Not a main man but I think he is worth a punt as back up.

Would much rather a hungry for success youngster than Mullin who has shown l2/National is his level.

I would rather keep Robinson than go for Mullins.
I am sure BBM has some young teenager in mind to come to us though - from either Leicester or Man City.
The issue with Man City is that many of the Forwards, in particular, will not get a look in - because Man City will buy forwards from other clubs.
I have seen Divin Mubama play at ManCity U21s and he is someone I would hope BBM tries to seek a loan deal for him.

As has been said, Mullin has proved himself to not be a League One level striker.
He'd be better off going to L2, will score plenty for a team in that league.

Don't rule out loans from Chelsea too.
BBM and Maresca worked together closely at Man City.

I don't think we can just buy people - they require wages
Money will be tight in this division and we have to ensure we have the right player

No thanks, he’s league 2 level. He struggled for Wrexham last season and got frozen out of the side. Our strikers are much better than him

The football pyramid in this country is amazing. It is nigh on the perfect capitalist venture.
It takes a great eye and experience to see a rough diamond like Jarrod Bowen has the potential to develop into a player above your level. You take those punts on 21-year-olds old not 30-year-olds.
He has scored 6 L1 goals in over 45 games.
Any pretensions of promotion disappear if he ends up here; he won't. He is quite a lazy old-school "goal hanger" who only improved when Ollie Palmer was bought to graft.

Mullin is off to Wigan on loan - thankfully.

Remember when some on here were calling for him to start for Wales, when Kieffer Moore and Brennan Johnson were scoring in the premier league.
Netflix is responsible for altering some folks common sense.

Agree.

I was just speaking to Bernard Platt who is the photographer at Wigan and he said it looks like he has a photoshoot planned for next week with him, subject to formalities.
Assuming he wont move house. I can do Wigan to Wrexham in 45mins.
Based on location I can understand why he is moving to Wigan. From Wigans perspective I think they realise they are just going to be mid table.

Semantics but isn’t it on Disney not Netflix?

It's on Hulu here which I'm led to believe you guys don't have it so I presume it would be Disney. And don't you call them Disney FC for just that reason.

Non league striker, no chance.

Wigan Athletic have signed striker Paul Mullin from Wrexham on loan for the 2025-26 League One season.
The 30-year-old signed for Wrexham from Cambridge United in 2021 and scored 110 goals in 170 games in all competitions, helping them win promotion from the National League to the Championship in successive seasons.
Despite being Wrexham's leading man during the first two promotions under the ownership of Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, Mullin was on the sidelines for much of last season as they went up to the second tier.
"I'm excited for the next part of my story. The gaffer has outlined his plan for the season, and I'm hoping to take his trust into the season and make it a really successful one," Mullin told Wigan's website.
"As a player, I give absolutely everything and work as hard as I can.
"I've scored a lot of goals over the last few years, but more than anything, I give my absolute all for the club that I'm playing for, and I'm going to do that again with Wigan."
After undergoing surgery on a back injury last summer, Mullin made 17 appearances for Wrexham last term and started just nine League One games, scoring three league goals.
Manager Phil Parkinson said: "I'd like to wish Paul all the best for his loan move.
"It's a good opportunity for him to get back to playing regular first-team football and I'm sure he's going to be a great signing for Wigan Athletic."
