Off Topic - Air India crash

Sun Jun 15, 2025 7:35 pm

I see on Facebook the armchair aircraft crash investigators are out in force, speculating on the causes of the disaster, RIP to all who lost their lives, on the plane and on the ground.

Quite why these armchair experts think they know everything about the tragedy before the black boxes have been examined is beyond me. Picking on the pilot, or the aircraft manufacturer itself prior to any official outcome is both gross and vile.

Some are speculating that the pilot selected flaps up instead of gears up, others are speculating about an object seen flying from the aircraft on take off.

Just wait for the official reports is my mantra.

Incidentally I have flown Air India on a number of occasions and always found the airlines cabin crew service and its planes cleanliness to be exceptional.

Such a tragedy for all involved.

Terrible loss of life

Apparently, there is a video posted from a passenger who was on that airoplane on the flight before the crash (new delhi to Ahmedabad) showing ALL electrics not working call button, dvd, lights, aircon, etc.

And, then this video from an experienced pilot https://www.youtube.com/live/8XYO-mj1ugg

Throws a new light on what COULD have happened ?

But we do have to wait for official reports from black boxe data.

Seen at least 5 different reasons posted by so called experts as to why it could have crashed!
Now found both flight recorders so should be able yo establish the facts soon
