Hull City boss Ruben Selles is set to depart after six months in charge, BBC Radio Humberside reports.
The Spaniard left League One Reading to replace Tim Walter on a two-and-a-half-year deal in December.
After an inconsistent season they eventually avoided relegation to League One on the final day of the campaign having secured a draw against Portsmouth.
However, chairman Acun Ilicali has chosen to make another managerial change, exactly one year after he sacked Liam Rosenior after they finished seventh in the Championship.
Selles had guided Reading to sixth in League One despite their off-field concerns when he left for East Yorkshire on 6 December.
Predecessor Walter had been relieved of his duties the previous week after a run of nine matches without a win.

By far we are not worst for managers leaving? Generally it's because we bring in wrong person in Hull case it's something else same with watford.... who'd be a championship manager 9mnths is an eternity to be in charge if can survive that long...

If you listen to Hull fans, it's like our situation.
They're complaining about having an owner who knows nothing about football making all the decisions.

They are also liking them to watford......u like us both vlubs dighn good managers but there is definitely something not right at both clubs that they sack managers quickly before time to settle in.... we do opposite...

It's a very common theme. Cash has destroyed the football culture.

Still surprised they got rid of Rosenior last year.
The only reason we haven’t gone through even more managers is that it takes them so long to sack a manager.
Our method is:
Find manager than puts up with Tan
Watch manager fail for far too long
Sack manager
Wait too long while making another appointment
Still make the wrong appointment
Rinse and repeat

Rosenior did well at Hull and should have stayed. I would take him if he is available no idea where has been since

Doing well with Strasbourg in France.

No surprise, it was crazy for Hull to get rid of him as boyo1927 says.
Selles is also a top manager and I wanted him to replace Riza. The job he did at Reading, with all that was going on, was brilliant.
Would take him at City. But the new Reading owners might think it'll be feel good to get him back.

Ye I wanted Rosenior at Cardiff after the job he done at Hull. Got them playing some good stuff in all fairness to him. Seems it wasn’t a one off too.

If he is doing well at Strasbourg then I would say we can't attract him to league 1. If we were a stable club from the top potentially but I think Rosenior stock is higher than us to risk coming to the mad house. Can see another championship club going in for him
