Pre season friendles

Tue May 13, 2025 6:49 am

I'd really like to think any protest or demo against Tan will start at Pre Season.

Banners, flags, the lot. If it's an away game even better as the goons who run our club can't try and stop opposition to the Dictator.

Am hoping for all away games this year for Pre Season. I think ifs a chance for all those who are being stunned Into a forced silence by the club can finally have a voice?!

There will always be three from my family at every Pre Season away game eith our Tan Out - Sack The Board banner....

Your wasting your time tbh , do you really think he cares about protests? , by the statements coming out of the club it looks like he's going no where .

Disagree, he’d hundred percent sell if he could. The issue is his current valuation of a league 1 club. You’d hope protest might at least encourage him to drop the price if anyone is interested.. we’re at a crossroads as a football club. Do you want a decade in L1 or to stand up and fight for the club. Even if no progress is made, I’d feel much happier with the latter.

He's been open to offers for several years well documented on here but for whatever reason nothings happened? And this is not unusual selling a club is throught with problems ncastle derby reading Coventry just examples of how tuff it is to get rid owners... man u 20yrs of protest but glaziers still ripping of the club for millions every season.

Tan's not going anywhere until the Sala case is resolved.

There's too much money at stake.

Some good UK close by pre season friendlies away from home with a good following will set us up nicely, get behind the squad whoever it may be. No jaunt to Austria please in the middle of nowhere. :bluebird:
No point protesting at pre season no coverage on anything and ideally want the squad bouncing with positivity that we are onside and ready for the coming season.

If you think we are wasting our time why bother to post it, if your not for Wez, just keep out of it.

You’ve supported Tan for 15 yrs and where has that got you.

Our Demonstrations are still being put out by the BBC and ITV

This is why our fan base is divided and rotten.

Leave us to do what we want

We hurt No one and feel Proud and We know it does hurt Dalman / Tan and if more did it , it would hurt them more.

Better than just moaning on here and FB

Sounds good.

If there are any away friendlies in the Midlands, Worcestershire, Herefordshire or Gloucestershire then I'll be there :thumbright:

I believe protests are not a good look for Tan in his business world and in Malaysia. I also believe that if there are no protests then Tan is that deluded and narcassistic that he would believe that all is well with the clubs fanbase.

To say that we are wasting our time from a fellow Bluebird is another symptom of the fan division the tyrants reign has caused.

Good images from BBC and ITV being aired from previous protests, at least we are trying to do something, creating a visual, we get noticed, instead of criticising or moaning about Tan which Im even hearing the Tan apologists, fence sitters and praisers have started doing, we standing up for our club which we want back the way it should be.

A poster mentioned Man U protests havent worked , well Evertons did and so will ours :ayatollah:

The main aim has to be to get into the Malaysian system.

I have used ChatGPT for some ideas and I offer this to supporters to take forward (if they wish):

The TikTok videos (with Malaysian wording) I think could be an interesting idea?

Even more reason to keep the pressure up.

Great post Steve, the protests definitely work, if they didn't we'd still be playing in red :(

What did Everton protest about? If say owner he didn't go because of protest he went because club was going into administration and new stadium in peril if he stayed!

Tan needs to know that he is accountable for what he's done and where we are !!

Re: Pre season friendles

I feel any protest will fall flat.
No idea why anyone would protest away when it's not televised nor will anyone important from the club
will be there.
So no point really because Tan and the board will never change.

We need to be protesting in some capacity at every game. We are wasting time by being passive. Tan needs to go and anything we do to help him on his way gets my support.

Spot on.

This whole "there's no point" attitude is totally wrong.

So sad to read City fans speak this way, but also its the reality of modern football, split into different types of fans, and we are simply fans who care that much that we feel the need to do something, stand up, gain exposure and be consistent with it is the key. Plus when we spend a small fortune on ana away day like i have this season and be served tepid turgid football, then your going to protest with your voice no matter where you alegiances lie regarding protesting or Tan Out. my banner certainly came out at Norwich

Re: Pre season friendles

People thought the lack of turnout for the previous protests were embarrassing and they were actual matches.

Protesting at pre season games has the potential to just look absolutely pathetically small if im honest
