Secondly, as it's the time of year when clubs get linked with new players, TransfrMrkt have currently listed the following players as free transfers/free agents.

Would any of these be ones to consider?

No one on that list stands out to me as what we need

Shanks was dire this campaign and im sure his heart is set on going to Rangers if he does leave Hearts without signing new contract..

Hepburn hasn't had a club since he got ditched by Bayern.
Was swooped up as a teenage sensation but failed to make an appearance.
To be fair, he did have some significant talent ahead of him.
But in his last season he was loaned out to Queens Park and I think only managed about 15 odd games there.

Club got until 17th May to inform out of contract players if renuing their contracts...after that they're free agents.
