Forest's owner arguing with their manager

Sun May 11, 2025 3:31 pm

The owner of Nottingham Forest, Evangelos Marinakis, appears to have an argument on the pitch with their manager, Nuno Espirito Santo, after their 2-2 draw with Leicester City.

What an idiot. Such a bad look for Forest and for Marinakis.

The reason they're even in contention for Champions League football is down to Nuno - and they've just confirmed they will be in some European competition next season.

Gary Neville called it a "joke" and a "scandalous" - I agree with him.

Whilst he was seen to having a "conversation" with santos they think he was going to have a pop at players for throwing away champions league chances? Totally unjustified incursion on pitch but typical Greek owner mentality do it a lot in Greece..

The bloke is an idiot Allan.

No reason to treat players or manager like that when they've overachieved this season.

I was watching the Forest game when that happened at the end, absolutely ridiculous & he should be thanking Nuno not shouting at him, they're way above where anyone expected them to be. Nuno does like an argument though, I'll never forget him & Warnock having that spat.

As for Liverpool fans booing TAA, fking ridiculous considering he's been at the club since he was 6 years old. They should be thanking him for the years of service he's given them & wising him well at RM.

Totally agree on both counts.

Didn't he do some dodgy owner manipulation so he wasn't the majority shareholder in two Champions League clubs.

Looks like he needn't have bothered.

Turns out he was more frustrated by the decision to use their last sub window when they had a player that couldn’t continue. Medical staffs fault but rightly annoyed by the school boy error. There’s a time and a place to be annoyed though, not in front of everyone.

Prime example of jumping the gun.

That being said it doesn’t look good on live TV when the two look at loggerheads with each other.

How much stick did we give Ledley?

Pots and kettles spring to mind.

I gave him zero stick, he was free to do what he wanted. I'm neither a pot or a kettle.

Colloquially we as a fan base. Not you individually.

Regardless of the context, it's ridiculous for an owner to be charging on to the pitch and ranting at anyone who will listen.

So "jumping the gun" is not a relevant phrase here.

Do we want an owner to be passionate and involved or not?

Not going on pitch and look like a wassack no ... bette ways of showing passion for club Reynolds makes it look simple at Wrexham with actions in relation to fans ect ... it saying be like them but better way to show it.

I don't know if you're defending him or just playing devil's advocate.

But personally I don't think an owner should be anywhere near the pitch at the end of the game. They should stay in the stands.

I didn't like it when Dalman and Choo were in the dressing room after we beat Swansea in 2023 and, although I know some liked it, also not a fan of owners being by the pitch like Sam used to.

But that's my own personal opinion.

just frustrations of the champions league slipping away.
although still got a chance but tensions are running high
nothing to worry about
probably just his character

imagine tan doing this to riza or bulut on the pitch
fans would go mental with rage.
