New manager

As it’s highly unlikely that Ramsey will want to manage us next season who do you think it will be .I think Des Buckingham would be a good choice as he got Oxford up playing good football from league 1 .I also wouldn’t mind Nathan Jones as an alternative choice although I doubt if Tan would be willing to pay compensation and Charlton could be promoted too

I think the question should be ‘who will be willing to take the job’

It’s going to be a tough season with a lot of cost cutting.

Less wages to offer, probably free transfers, and the bulk of the squad probably moving on to pastures new.

I can see it being a complete rebuild with a lot of new players who will need to gel and fit in very quickly.

There will be a lot of pressure on whoever takes the job. The fans will want (and rightly so) an immediate bounce back to the championship.

I don’t see Nathan Jones leaving Charlton - he’s on a build and he’s doing well there.

I feel there are a lot of our fans out there who need to accept these facts. If they do then the bounce back expectation will drop a bit.

As for the player in/out I do see a big exodus, I just hope we keep Salech and the experienced players like Ramsey and Ralls. As for in I'm expecting the Youth club to get a chance, in fact I believe that is an obvious way.

As for a manager, all I see is a Ramsey player/manager role.

The only thing for certain it will not be a fans choice or probably a favourite same as riza, chosen by our idiot of an owner

Can't see it being Ramsey, keeps on saying he just wants to take these two games and then get back to his rehab.

I mooted the idea of Gunter with Ramsey as a player/coach on Monday - I still don't think that's impossible.

But I think we really need a manager with League One experience. Not been his biggest fan in the past but Nathan Jones is an obvious choice - doing well at Charlton.

Don't know how realistic that is though. Charlton are going well and could be promoted. Big game for them at Wrexham tomorrow, although it'll probably be the play-offs for them. They'll be going into it in as good form as anyone.

Me, Mike076 and Annis asked each other in the pub before the Oxford game, would you want to manage Cardiff City the way Tan has been running the club?

We said no.

Managers and agents out there will be very clued up on whats been going on here, including divided fan base, rumours of Tans interference in team selection, texting during the game and transfers and lack of investment in the team and so on. Maybe the damaging choice of Riza was chosen because suitors saw this along and turned down an approach with the precarious league position? Bilic?

Since he sacked Malky, No appointment by Tan (apart from Warnock) was on the bookies favourites list or names touted by us fans, ex players, pundits and journalists. This is the biggest symptom (along with Tan virtually being the DOF we so desparately need) as to why we are where we are in the division and with a mish mash unbalanced squad.

This is what we are dealing with regarding being managerless on the brink of the third division.

Buckingham and Jones good names, I wish! I just cant see it sadly

Is it true that Tans interfering in the team selection ? Then making the strange subs we see week in week out ? If it is Riza should come out and say it. Don’t bother with a manager and coaching staff if true just have Tan on FaceTime to Choo in the dugout.
