This is the big question.
What do we do with him next season? Do we renew or accept that he's going?
He obviously wants to play in the World Cup. Said in his manager's press conference that he's just thinking about the last two games in terms of management, suggesting he doesn't want to be in charge next season.
So we have three options:
Keep him as a player, keep him as a player/coach with a view to taking over as manager after retirement or let him go completely.
Both the options of keeping him would mean a reduced wage for sure - would he accept that?
It's a very difficult question and I honestly don't know the answer.
For the board, the simplest choice would be him as player/manager but he obviously doesn't want that.
If I'm honest, I don't know the answer.

I feel if we keep him on as manager we’ll be back in the same position next season looking to replace him.
If he retires it would be great to keep him on as a coach but if he doesn’t retire even a player coach role would suit everyone.

I don't think he will retire as he's stated he Wants to stay fit and help Wales qualify for the world Cup
I also can't see him wanting a move away as he has his family here new buisness etc
I'd be quite happy for him to stay on a pay if you play basis and at a much reduced wage

I mooted on another thread that they could go for Gunter as manager.
Gunter is Ramsey's best mate, best man at Ramsey's wedding.
So there is a world where Gunter is the manager and Ramsey takes a player/coach role.
Ramsey pretty much said today he doesn't want to be permanent manager yet.

So many questions.
How is the option triggered?
Will Bellamy even want a 35 year old L1 player?
If it's not L1 CCFC, where would he play?

I may be going mad, but I'm questioning why Gunter has suddenly returned to the club.
There's been plenty of opportunities to get him back so why now?
Would not be shocked if Ramsey and Gunter have some sort of agreement, they are best mates.
So Gunter as our manager and Ramsey is a player/coach.
It's also known that Bellamy gets on with Ramsey so he's never going to drop him from the Wales squad. Ramsey said today that Bellamy spoke to him about advice for being a manager.
Just a theory.

Ramsey said in his post match interview hes spoken to Bellamy a lot in the last 48 hours and taken a lot of advice from Bellamy
I'm guessing bellars also had a say on gunter coming in as a coach
I know we harp on about hiring managers with no experience and I'd obviously prefer an experienced manager to oversee a swift return to the championship
However if we are to go down the inexperienced coach route league 1 is a lot easier for a manager to cut his teeth than the championship and I'd much rather someone who has a connection to our club take charge than some random rookie

Ramsey also said he's just focusing on the two games.
If I had money on any ex player to be our next manager, it would be Gunter.

Yea Ramsey will go back to playing next season I think that's a given but I could also see him taking up a player/coach role with gunter as manager it wouldn't cost a fortune and is the kind of thing you could see tan going for

Was thinking about it on the train back and genuinely think it's possible.
Gunter and Ramsey are best mates, Gunter was best man at Ramsey's wedding, so they could have some sort of agreement.
Just seems strange how the board have only made one external appointment to the coaching staff after Riza went - and that's Chris Gunter.
I might be talking myself into this but it makes sense

I'd be disappointed if either are our manager next season.
Bellemy is nearly 12 years older than Rambo and Gunter, and in his first job as the leader and looks great at it. They got to do their time first. We need to build for next season today, we need to get someone in soon, as we need to make decisions about who we know has the minerals.
We have a chance to keep the youngsters for a season at least, then we will need to sell, we can't afford another three-man season

In league one as a player I'd keep him on as player coach on reduced qages

He wants to live locally and doesn't need the money and with his injury record he wont get much elsewhere and wants to carry on playing.
If we go down which is almost certain now he would be invaluable on a play per play basis as long as we didn't rely on him being fit throughout the season.

I don’t think Ramsey is the right man to take us forward, but respect to him for taking on the impossible task.
Club football along with senior football is a completely different beast from International U19 so I wouldn’t think Gunter is the best man for the job either.
As for Ramsey, if he stays as a player it has to be on a much reduced rate and I wouldn’t only give a pay as you play deal with bonuses for certain things, along with coaching duties.

Nothing at all against Ramsey but he is not what we need in a managerial sense next season. He may be able to offer something on the pitch, but managing us should not be his convenient route way into club management.

I hope he stays with us in what capacity I don't no but Ramsey is good for this club I'd love him to stay with us he belongs here

Div 1 him player/coach gunter and someone else would make sense and solve the problem of his wages ? Otherwise I'm sure be several suitable candidates available but it will depend on who's picking the manager as to ghe quality?

I love Rambo.
For me what I want and what Tan wants have always been poles apart. Although on this topic I think we may be closer together, its about the money,
will we get the return for the financial outlay in keeping him on , we have to think that way for sure if we go down, but it wont hurt to think that way if we stay up, its cost us a lot of money to house Rambo in our squad this year, we had some great return in merch sales and at times on the pitch but massively outweighed by absence and rehabilitation. For me personally it was one of the biggest thrills to hear the announcement of his return same as Koumas Earnie and Bellamy, I loved that. Sadly only Bellamy was a success.
It was two or three players wages last season with Rambo. And as Tans trend of cost cutting continues that is the answer coupled with does Rambo want to coach while playing towards the World Cup?
I would love him to stay within the club if so, playing wise it has to be pay as you play and not massive wages
