TAN vs DALMAN ?? :
There is something very important that Riza said in his interview that we all seem to have missed .
He said : “ The DIVIDES ….I am not going to spill them out , but until all this comes together …I do not think the Club will improve .” !!
What ‘divides’ is he talking about ? Divides between who and who ? How is this divide affecting the Club so ‘it can’t improve’ ?
To me whatever “DIVIDE”Riza is talking about is significant .
Naturally he may be talking about the divide between the fans themselves ….or the divide between the fans and the Club/Tan (and his cronies) …
But this is unlikely because how are the fans affecting the crazy financial decisions or the football decisions ….say who the manager is or what players to buy or what salaries to pay ..or how to run anything ?
Riza may mean that Dalman is at odds with Tan on a number of key issues ….but he is stuck in an unhappy marriage ….with Tan in full control … and Dalman is trapped and can’t get out ?
Could it mean that Dalman sees that Tan has screwed himself big big time (financially and football wise) ….so Dalman is happy to take a back seat and give Tan rope to hang himself ?
What would Dalman gain ?
Is he looking to pounce and grab the Club ?
One does not really know …..but Riza’s words definitely mean something ….but what ??

I haven’t seen the Riza interview but I know there is a devide between the board and Tan over Riza.

Annis, i've always thought that Dalman wants a "bigger slice of the cake" he's in for 30-40 million at present which is secured against the stadium. I've also no doubt that him and his hedge fund pals were one of the groups that wanted to buy out Tan or Dalman was trying to broker a deal on their behalf. You know my feelings towards Dalman but it's obvious that there is a huge fallout between him and Tan, at least Dalman could see that Riza has to go (hence the Warnock approach) and i believe he wanted Riza out before the international break to give the new manager more time.

There is clearly a division at the top.
I have thought for years that a potential direction of travel for Dalman is to buy the club when the value is reduced and Tan has finally had enough. Tormen are into the club for roughly half of what Tan has in current loans, so the weight of debt is there and apparently Tan has asked for more from Tormen too. After all, Dalman is an investment banker and clearly sees Cardiff's potential and has loaned a significant amount of money, otherwise he wouldn't have. Food for thought.

I was thinking why did he say the club is divided, we all know it is at many levels, then it hit me.....An NDA
Riza's contract runs out in two months, so he is free to spill the beans on the behind the scenes shennigans unless he signs an NDA for a fee.
Normally, we settle, and there are all sorts of restrictions in standard Joe Bloggs documents, so I can't imagine what's in football managers.
This was a veiled threat to Tan.

He probably means that we as the fans are not doing what Tan wants, just a thought and Riza is his spokesman now instead of Dalman

It can't be the fans.
My honest opinion but demonstations one way or the other make little difference to the running of the club. Fans still turn up and that is the only thing the club worry about. Just recall Wimbledon are the only set of fans to have done a proper boycott and it made no difference to what rhe Wimbledon board did. Protest makes a statement from the fans and that is the best it gets. It makes us all feel better in ourselves when we protest and that is worth doing.
So yes its something upstairs and getting to the point, when things go wrong its where it starts up there.

Another deflection attempt by Omar..,all eyes should be on him at this point.. he is clueless..and out of his depth..
There is a divide.. been going on for years., fans know the score..
another excuse for him.. he deserves all the flack that will be coming his way. ..

Whenever theres a struggle between two people someone will get hurt !
And so it seems its the fans are victims in this case...
Thu Apr 17, 2025 10:42 am
Couple of weeks ago he deflected it on the players, now the fans and the owner & chairman!!!
He’s not taking responsibility for anything at all. The sooner he’s gone from our club the better and Tan too

The club is an absolute shambles from top to bottom and has been for nearly 2 decades
How the hell the club managed to get promoted to the Premier league twice in this time is a bit of a miracle
I’ve reached the point where I just don’t care anymore…unfortunately there is no light at the end of the tunnel under the current ownership
It will be sane again next season except in a lower division!!

Just read parts if his interview ? He's basically showing ing utter contempt for ccfc..
"Quote" if can get anyone better than me let club do so but I'm the right person for job! "Conceated"aswell He is shiiite stirring because he knows he's gone end season its that simple

That's all we know is that we need maximum 10 points out of the remaining 4 games then we are not guaranteed staying up, still can't believe how they made so many bad decisions for so many seasons, they have got themselves to blame and the fans are outcast, we could all see it happening, made all the noise about it, but the Tan and management where built on greed not the love and fortune of the club to succeed.

Dalman is clearly waiting it out. If he wasn’t he’d have walked years ago and not had to deal with Tan’s shit.
I know a lot don’t like him and think he’s too tied with Tan, but I think he could probably do a pretty good job if he was actually in full control, former managers speak highly of him in particular (and Ken Choo, who is also being forced to take the blame for the footballing side of things when in reality his job description would imply he should be more involved in the commercial aspect of the club).

It looks like Riza is a broken man with the passing of his father and the realisation of his managerial failings bearing down on him .I believe he should have been relieved of his duties after the Luton game because no new manager would turn it around now unless it was internal like Ralls and Ramsey. Its still in our hands to escape and that’s what I’m clinging onto

Dalman has more of an understanding of what we need and is also fronting up the wage bill. With that kind of money floating around just buy Tan out… unfortunately I believe Tab is holding out for his £120m from Nantes regardless of how much he’s lost with the various court cases over the years

Said for a while that I don't think Dalman likes Tan or how he runs the club.
Dalman is a bullshitter, but he's definitely not as bad as Tan.
But he definitely doesn't like Tan in my view.
Remember when Bulut was appointed and Dalman was laughing at Tan in front of the journalists?

Would people be happy if dalman bought Tan out

As most know i really don't trust him, however as the saying goes sometimes its better the devil you know, and one thing I can say is that at this moment in time I would prefer him over Tan any day of the week.
So should it go through then perhaps we have the best of both worlds, Tan gone and a owner we know, but he needs to be more vocal than he has been, perhaps this is why he hasn’t been ??
He also needs a DOF in, formulate a plan and identity of the clubs playing style, then players and managers that come and go are recruited on them fitting our playing style, this will give us traction over a sustained period of time.
Let Dalman stick to his strengths, the financing of the club and the eventual sale for a big profit and leave the DOF to manage the footballing side of the club.

I agree, I think if Tan wasn’t around I think Dalmon would be a bit more hands on with the club. I’m not sticking up for him 100% but I do think he’s had his hands tied as he’s not the owner. I might be giving him too much credit but I think he could work out ok as long as he doesn’t just buy Tan out and just sit back. Changes are needed, we need to get manager right by not going for someone already at club or just cheap option

I actually think Dalman would run the club much, much better.
He's done work in the city in London, so he understands British culture. I don't think Tan does or ever has, he thinks what happens in Malaysia is how it is in the UK - it's not.
Like I said, he's a bullshitter, but Dalman at least knows the UK and does know a bit about football business unlike Tan.

Dalman may be many things. But he's not stupid. He understands how things need to operate in football to be successful. It's not his gig right now and he can only do so much.
I don't think he'd cut his nose off to spite his face.
Bulut didn't work out in season 2 but he has experience as a manager and respected in his previous gigs .
Plenty of managers don't work out in some clubs but do in others. Picking a manager that fell out of favour is hardly a hanging offence. Maybe if he'd been backed he'd have done better.

Dalman was as posted on here that he was interested in buying or being part of a takeover of Charlton
Let's not forget at the same time and now he plays a part in loaning money to this club + interest
