1-0 up in Paris tonight.

Can't help but love this team.

A top class manager. Morgan Rogers will go on to be a top player, arguably already is.

January acquisitions of Rashford and Asensio were genius.

I like them too it’s 2-1 at moment but keep it like that they got a chance at home. Really good manager Unai.

PSG a class act...villa did well to keep them to 3.

PSG were incredible in the second half, fair play to them.

Still think Villa can make it close in the second leg.

And to think it's less than 8 years since we beat Villa comfortably 3-0 at the CCS with Mendez-Laing getting two goals.

PSG are my fave team to watch at the moment. Top quality, well drilled. Enrique has done an excellent job

Villa making a go of this.

Went 2-0 down in the first half but now lead 3-2 on the night.

5-4 on aggregate to PSG with just over ten minutes to go.

Get feeling now that they'll fall short? Finsl ball is going astray and not getting chances like earlier

No more goals and PSG win 5-4 on aggregate.

Villa can be proud of themselves though, great season for them.

Champions League quarter final, only defeated by a very high quality PSG.

In with a chance of qualifying for the Champions League again.

Got an FA Cup semi final coming up.

Thought they would fall short shame their goalie made 2 brilliant saves just after 3rd goal!
But great effort.

Villa are very lucky to be where they are as they should never have survived their first season back in the Premier League. Sheffield United had a perfectly good goal disallowed and that was the difference between Villa staying up or Villa getting relegated. Villa survived by the skin of their teeth after spending an obscene amount of money.

I know we were in the Premier League a different season, but Chelsea had an obvious offside goal given against us and that sent us down. That's just one of thousands of examples of the corrupt officials gifting the more "glamorous" club decisions and going against the "smaller" clubs. If the officials gave the correct decisions, Villa would have been relegated and we would have stayed up.

The impact this has on clubs futures can't be more clear than tonight. Villa surviving their first season back allowed them to have the funds and resources to continue building to improve, stabilise, bring in Emery and nearly knock out PSG to reach the Champions League semi finals tonight. In contrast, we're about to get relegated to League 1 and now we're a million miles apart from Villa.

It was a great game to watch tonight and I thought Emery made a massive mistake taking McGinn off. Villa lacked the energy and drive through the middle after McGinn went off and PSG then had more time on the ball to see the game out relatively comfortably.

I think I remember that disallowed goal, was that when the goal line technology didn't work for some reason?

Only time I've ever known it not to work.

That late PSG goal in the 1st leg has played a key part over the 2 legs - with PSG into the semi - finals .

Yes, the ball crossed the line but the goal line technology failed for some reason, so the officials didn't give the goal. The game finished 0-0 and Villa avoided relegation by that point.

If Villa got relegated, who knows what could have happened? They could still be stuck in the Championship now instead of running PSG close tonight.

Brighton, Forest, Wolves and Aston Villa.

Four clubs (and I know there are more) who were below us in recent seasons but they chose "Proper Management" and are now in the distance from where we are

Just goes to show what can happen with a proper board and management team.
