Salech

What a great centre forward he is. We must play with wingers beating their men and crossing for him. Incredulous taking him off. Scandalous

Re: Salech

He had one proper chance and scored, can't do better than that. Great signing.

But complete madness to take him off, should have been Robinson that came off.

Totally agree , great eye for goal , a striker we have been needing for

I have no faith in Riza anymore despite today's result but give him credit we've unearthed a gem in Salech. Still young and great potential to do more. Brilliant signing so far.

Re: Salech

I think that is the secret to scoring lots of goals.

Decent crosses into the box - and Salech to head them in.

Reminds me of some of the goals scored by Jeff Hemmerman

We have a gem on our hands, keep the crosses coming and he'll score, also, we HAVE to play two strikers until the end of the season.

I think more importantly we must play with 2 proper wingers!

I am getting a distinct impression that Riza finds it "easier" to face Salech than Robinson with a substitution. That is shameful - Salech is very young but clever and powerfully strong striker and will score a hatfull of goals in a full season with even half decent service. How can you take the guy off? Utter madness!!

I thought the same mate. Swap with Meite if he was tiring but to have tiny tots up front and carry on jumping bslls up was crazy…. TIL Meite came on.

As anybody given a reason for the substitution of Salech to warrant complaining? Because before the substitutions we were not going to win the game ....I've been the biggest critic of Riza’s use of subs but yesterday they turned out positive for a change...

Maybe Salech has some niggles and needs protecting? He is very important to us. Granted we needed a winner but we very much have all the stats available now on red zones etc.

My point complaining about something they've no idea about... if he was feeling a niggle take him off better than pulling muscle and as I've said prior yo coming off we didn't look like scoring ..... but the subs reinvigorated us and we scored as a result of substitutions .... one of few times they've proven positive By Riza

Robinson has scored some important goals for us, however would you want him next to you on the frontline of a war/battle ? I know my answer and make no mistake we are in a fierce relegation battle. There is no hiding place and we definitely do not need any passengers :bluebird:

I heard he’s in the middle of Ramadan and was fasting so his energy levels would be low.

But didn’t we score after he was taken off?
It could be argues it was a brilliant substitution that won the game.

That makes sense. I’m sure I also heard that Meite was also fasting.

Been my point all along we never looked like scoring before the subs? I'm biggest critic of Riza’s subs use but on face of it this was a good move for once

No surprise that both our goals were from quailty crosses something we havnt done enough this season.

Agree, should consider putting Mannsverk on set pieces - put in a few decent crosses.

Especially as a lot of our set pieces have been poor lately.

Salech is class keep putting the crosses in he will score goals

Exactly and my point is the posters moaning about taking Salech off saying it's madness or incredulous but it was the right call.
I believe in giving credit where it's due.

Agree he hasn't done much to get credit for something but yesterday was the best subs he's made whether by luck or design doesn't matter it worked and can't ask for more than that.

I just found it odd that he would take off our main goal threat. Salech may have scored the chance Meite had, may not have - we'll never know.

The change in shape helped for sure, but I can't agree that Salech was the one that should have come off.

However, if he was fasting then it makes more sense.

As I have said before on here - Salech puts himself about - knows where the goal is and is a handful for defenders .

Great signing

I agree TC.
As well as being a good player he really gets under the skin of some seasoned centre backs (Mepham and the Stoke guy to name 2) and for a player who’s just turned 23 that’s some feat.
