“ HERE WE GO AGAIN “

Thu Mar 13, 2025 10:37 am

Remember after Bulut was sacked, we went over two months before we ended up with Riza getting the job full time.

Our clueless owner and his two side kicks are at it again delaying what should be a straight forward decision, they should have had someone lined up before our must win game against Luton on tuesday.

So why are they giving Riza another game?? does it mean if we win on saturday that he keeps the job?? Riza has now won 4 games from the last 25, he should have gone maybe after Pompey away but now whoever comes in is going to have 8 games to get us possibly 14 points. What a shambles our great club has become.

100% agree with you m8 I would go for Steve cooper or Gary O'Neill

The speculation regarding his departure can be very unsettling to him and the players ……how can they respond positively to him if he is on the high jump ?

Blackburn should have nothing to do with the decision .

The Club must either dismiss him or to make a clear statement that he is staying till the end of the season . A demoralized and destabilized manager is no good at all …..the assistants can cover if he is out ….better than a wounded and nullified manager .

Dalman and Choo had an emergency meeting with Riza after the Luton game.

Agree with this.

Either keep him until the end of the season or get rid of him now. All this uncertainty doesn't help Riza, the players or the fans.

Uncertainty around a manager's future can have a detrimental effect.

My feeling is he'll be gone after we lose on Saturday. Tuesday was too much to come back from.

But if that's the case, they should do it now. Gives them a few extra days to find managerial candidates and speak to them.

Because if Riza does go, a new manager must be in place by the time we play Sheffield Wednesday after the break.

No they didnt have an emergency meeting with Riza, all the decisions are now left up to Tan.
Dalman & Choo do not want anything to do with the matter.

Problem with sacking Riza is the 3 buffoons won’t have a replacement lined up

If they appoint internally we might as well concede relegation now!!

All these problems come down to Mr Tan for not employing a experienced manager in the first place.

Hmmm, that’s a very bold and confident statement to make but it’s simply not true!

There was a move to relieve Omer Riza immediately after the Luton defeat but the decision was delayed for reasons best left to The Three Amigos. He (Riza) is on borrowed time and whilst I feel for him after a pretty sad period in his personal life, we are in our own perilous position and proper decisions need to be both taken and communicated

Ultimately, after 15 years of his involvement, we’re currently worse off in football terms than we were on his purchase, i.e. an attractive, ambitious Championship club inches away from the Premier League

We got there (to the Premier League) twice but a mix of politics, poor decisions and pure bad luck (e.g. the Chelsea game and the sad Sala occurrence) have seen our club derailed to a point we are now once again fighting for our footballing life!

Simply not good enough and the right decisions need to be made and adhered to urgently! :ayatollah:

Whichever version is true, the facts of the matter is that Riza is at the helm and will be for the Blackburn game.

As a club you are right in terms of where we are football wise.

The decisions that have been made by Tan are nothing short of bewildering.

Changing is red, the amount of cheap managers, and quite possibly the worst of all from a moral point of view, dragging the Sala case through court when the family were grieving the loss of a young relative with the world at his feet.

Only one thing is 100% true, and that is that Tan needs to leave before we can be a top championship (or better) team once again.

Excellent posts from both Sven and Roath Blue

Our club is a joke and run by clowns.
