Leicester fans on Alves:

Postby worcester_ccfc » Tue Feb 04, 2025 2:36 pm

Tweeted that I didn't know much about Will Alves (I don't), this is what a few Leicester fans replied with:

He's the mustard. 1st team debut against West Ham, ran rings round them. Evil injury. He can take the ball in tight areas and forward thinking and strong. We were screaming to let him play in the 1st team. Good luck

should be starting for us imo

Very skilled player

He’s an insane talent

My thoughts exactly. Clearly we didn't beat 20 teams to him but I expect these positive comments from Leicester fans won't be talked about because it doesn't fit the agenda.

We certainly didn't send comments like that to Bolton fans when they signed Etete.

Absolutely. I’d like to have read the responses if the Leicester fans had said he was slow, injury prone, bad egg in the dressing room etc.

Would have been all over it like a rash! Fans view on a player is a good barometer as to what they're like..

Allan, I take things as I see them. Will criticise them when they get it wrong which they have done a lot, like with Kanga.

But if Leicester fans rate Alves, then it should give us hope. Apart from coaches, nobody would have seen him play more than Leicester fans for their academy etc.

i am sure the lad is a good player he would not be an england international player i can read between the lines but we do not have to be so serious.

Exactly ned unless a player is a well known one and plays in championship or Premier league hardly anyone in Cardiff would know anything about a player... there is a lot of these types players going out from premier league this window some because had nasty injury like acl others to simply get proper competitive games .... and some on here if had choice to be positive or negative will always choose negative like this window... personally looking forward to seeing if he's as good as they say and Salech see if he brings the physicality he's shown so far when he gets a run in team
