I hope no one does that.

Why not?

What’s your problem?

You agree with this do you?

I’m not a fan of politics in sport. I didn’t like the BLM kneeling and I wouldn’t like Palestine flags.

If we signed a Palestinian international that would be different but we haven’t.

Palestinian flags are not the same as ISIS flags.

However, put Hamas anywhere near it and that changes it.

What Israel is doing it is abhorrent. Many Israelis think the same and disagree fundamentally with what their leadership is doing in their name.

However, what Hamas did 7 October was also abhorrent and lit the fire under this whole thing. This is why many innocent people in Gaza hate Hamas for bringing this upon them.

90% lies

And a fact Israel’s IDF killed many of their own people and don’t forget Israel has over 10,000 Palestinian Hostages

Bringing politics into our ground and fan base is divisive.

What would people say if we signed James McLean would people be happy for pro united Ireland or IRA flags to be on display?
Similarly people could bring Red hand of Ulster flags if we signed a Northern Irish player with such allegiances.

Our support is diverse with the common theme that we all support the team and anything else is an unnecessary and unwanted distraction.

Well said Alan.

I think we can all agree that what's happening in Gaza is shocking and not right, as it has been in Ukraine. But all this bickering is not good between us fans and exactly why politics should never enter a sports arena.

Anwar El Ghazi:

‘So, surely with hardship comes ease’ after the darkness of the last few months, I look forward to this new chapter at Cardiff. I am grateful to the club and manager for giving me this opportunity and accepting me for who I am without question and the amazing players and fans for welcoming me so warmly. I will forever remember your faith and love. Whatever the outcome, I will give my all for you on the pitch and do my best to deliver success and happiness.

“May the coming months bring prosperity and peace for all, including those in Gaza.”

Anwar El Ghazi:

Whilst I would sacrifice my career a million times over to stand against tyrants mercilessly killing and maiming innocent children, l am fortunate that my incarceration from doing what I love was only a matter of months. I am now ready to go again and play football at the highest level thanks to the support and love of those around me. In particular, I would like to thank my family, my friends and Nujum Sports for standing beside me and supporting me through the trials and tribulations of the last 9 months when the silence of many inside and outside football was deafening.

Finally, to the children of Gaza, I love you and will stand for you until my last breath.

Anwar Al-Ghazi supported and still supports the Palestinian cause

"I will sacrifice my professional career a million times over to stand against the tyrants who mercilessly kill and mutilate innocent children," Al-Ghazi declared after his victory.

Croeso Anwar!!! Hope you can get fit quickly and make a key contribution to the Bluebirds!!
I agree that football should be about football not politics.

However, Anwar is entitled to his views and has declared his views clearly on the horrific genocide taking place in Gaza. I agree 100% with what he has said.

Unfortunately, Britain has aligned itself closely with Israel, and our media does not report events objectively. If they did, there would be a huge outcry in Britain. How can anyone hear of, not 15, not 150 not 1500, BUT 15000 INNOCENT CHILDREN being slaughtered and not feel sick to the stomach at the actions of the Zionist Israeli government. All lives are of equal value whatever nationality.

Thank you

Your are so right and this is not politics.
This is Genocide and a Massacre which many are closing their eyes to.

We need Stars like Anwar for others to realise, this is way bigger than any football.

Anwar posts virtually daily about this and I for one have nothing but admiration for him.

Sport shouldn't be about politics, I agree.

This isn't politics as you have said, it is about a man standing up for what he believes in, and rightly so in my opinion.
