Haven’t seen this yet, but from the pictures it looks like an ugly concrete culvert.. unless it’s not yet finished.

There was a bit of it visible when I was a lad.
It's a culverted stream. covered over for good reasons.
What are these fxxxxxxs trying to produce-Venice?

I read on another forum earlier that they already have a problem with rats. How long will it be before someone who's drunk, falls in or jumps in so they cover it all up again.

Some clot designed, an even bigger clown signed it off.
Then to top it off, Wales Online show a picture of a canal, which this never was.

Correct; it was a feeder only and covered over for good reason at the time (dirty and potentially dangerous)

It was never a great job though, as I recall HGV drivers being advised never to drive over it, as it was a weak point on Churchill Way...

It looks crap, was expecting more when the news dropped. Waste of money unless it does attract more business. Can't see how it would though.

It's probably going stink and attract all sorts of bugs in the summer and won't be long before someone ends up in there..

I've just read the WOL link and the bit of canal exsposed at the moment is just one part of the plan to open up the canal to Tyndal street with other developments including a performance amphitheatre. I think that'll be decent. My one gripe is the banks of the canal are too high, meaning the the punters are too far away from the water feature. See how it pans out
