Wolverhampton Wanderers and Cardiff City are eyeing a move for Reading winger Hal Robson-Kanu, according to FLW sources.

Robson-Kanu is a target for Wolves and Cardiff City
The Reading academy graduate has only ever played for the Royals, other than loan spells at Southend United and Swindon Town, and has made 169 appearances for the Berkshire outfit.

The 26-year-old is predominantly a winger, but has been deployed in central midfield and as a striker under Steve Clarke.

Perhaps his best season at the Madejeski Stadium was in the 2012/13 season, where he scored seven goals in the Premier League. This attracted the interests of then newly-promoted Cardiff City but he put the rumours to bed by signing a new contract to stay with Reading.

The Bluebirds have resurrected their interest in Robson-Kanu, who starred in Wales’ 1-0 win over Belgium last week. The winger scored four goals in 34 appearances in all competitions last season and is also attracting interest from rival Championship clubs Wolves.

Not a striker for me but a useful addition he would make.Mind you we seem to be linked with just about everyone.

As soon as he fluffed his chance against Belgium I thought to myself "He would suit us down to the ground",

Oh dear god no!

Scored 21 goals in 169 games for Reading, so scores 1 every 8 games. Surely we've got enough strikers that can't get 20 goals a season. Solid target man, but looking at the way we set up who would be running off him to pick the bits and pieces? Surely we have Jones or Revell already for that if that is the way we want to play?

Another one of numerous names linked with us. How many of them have we actually signed so far?

I think he would be a great signing for us and he would add a lot of pace and power to the team. I don't know where people have gotten the idea that he plays up front, from?? He is certainly not a striker, just because for Wales he plays up front most times, it doesn't automatically mean that he is a striker, cause he isn't he is a very good old fashioned type of winger. Remember when Fabregas played in the middle of a front 3 for both FC Barcelona and Spain for a few games? Well people didn't start calling him a striker then, he was only playing in that position due to players being injured or suspended. With Hal Robson-Kanu, It just came down to the simple fact that we did not have another player like him, that knew how to play in a certain way for Wales - on the counter attack - and we didn't have another player that could play in that position and have as big an impact on the team as Robson-Kanu has had for Wales. Personally, I think he has been a revelation for Wales and he is a big part of the team because he has strength, pace, power, he is good in the air and probably his biggest attribute is his workrate. He works his ass off for the team, he tracks back to help his fullback, he gets stuck in too, he is always on the move and he never gives up on anything. I am extremely glad that he decided to choose to play for us over England, Scotland and Northern Ireland. He is one of the reasons why we are a much better football side.

Bloooooobirds.

Absolute nonsense. Without him on the pitch on Friday night, Wales wouldn't have won. Without his running and hard work, they certainly wouldn't have won the free-kick which led to the goal.
