It's my opinion that the jacks crowd and home advantage certainly played a big part in their win Saturday. Fair enough ole made a mistake with his team selection since he didn't play mutch or noone aswell but hopefully he can learn from this and onwards and upwards and get a good 3points against villa tomorrow

well home advantage makes a difference to every team in every match
it was, for me, a fairly even first half, the one deciding moment was that pass from Pablo, that caused the game to change. From 1-0 they got more confident.

Id agree with that to be honest. It could have gone either way in the first half, infact id say we just edged it.

Lets get something straight here, our home atmosphere doesn't give us any advantage AT ALL.
IF the WHOLE STADIUM were allowed to STAND as they were at Swansea, then the resulting atmosphere is there for you all to see.
Mon Feb 10, 2014 9:07 am
We were always going to lose with monk rewiring the mindset if swanses players they woukd of beat most team in europe saturday at homw if that team were their rivals
Mon Feb 10, 2014 9:09 am
That pass wasnt just one moment though. If it didnt come at that moment then he would have made the impact later on. Was clearly going to be a matter of time.
It was the change that turned the game rather than that one moment.
As soon as that change was made it exposed Medel and the game was then there for us to run riot. Even if one of your defenders cut that pass out we still would have won convincingly as you saw Hernandez was involved in all 3 goals, and that was because Medel couldn't follow him.

Barry Chuckle reckons the atmosphere was rubbish until AFTER the goal. So surely the difference couldnt have been the atmosphere... Unless he is wrong

cant watch that but as in work. I would say there wasnt much in it though, swansea probably looking the most assured, not many proper chances created at either end.
That pass from hernandez was just fantastic, changed the game really (good finish too i guess)

First half hour, Cardiff shaded it.. Swansea then came into the game a bit and they dominated the second half.

Think 0-0 at half time was about right. Although Routledge had two decent chances and hit the target at the start and end of the half, think we dominated the game play too. I cant say we deserved to go in winning, but there is no way anyone can seriously say Cardiff edged that half.
The pass, run and finish was superb I agree. But as I said, I dont think the game swung on the goal, the game swung on the sub. That moment was always going to come once Medel was exposed and Hernandez was involved in all 3 goals as a result.

Chucks. Seriously, what have you taken in the last 48 hours??
Ive just re-watched the game, you barely had the ball in the first 30 mins let alone shaded it
We could have been a couple of goals up after the first 10 mins. Ive posted a link to the complete first half above, i urge you to watch it. Also listen to the noise of the crowd while you are at it
Mon Feb 10, 2014 9:27 am
No thanks. Cardiff had the better chances of the first half hour. Probably should have scored one of them, Kenwyne Jones didn't have a good game.
After that, Swansea came into the game & then dominated the second half. The crowd were nothing special until you scored & you sung that rugby song.

didn't think you would.
So in that first 30 mins which chances are you referring to?
Mon Feb 10, 2014 9:33 am
First 30 mins..... Not even a shot on target

Pretty much all Swansea. Which you will see of you decide to watch it back.

to be fair no one can call either of those Bony shots chances, Not too sure what he was thinking of there
Mon Feb 10, 2014 9:45 am
The first goal was crucial and they got it, was a sublime pass by hernandez to be fair.
Bellamy nearly got us back in it but it wasnt to be.

Nah i agree, wouldnt count them as good chances. Although he stuck similar away against Man City and Man United.
The two Routledge changes were our real chances and he hit the target both occasions. De guzman also had the ball teed up at the edge of the box and should have certainly hit the target, no idea what happened there

The first half was more even overall. Emnes was rubbish and wasted some good opportunities to create some chances, but overall Britton coming back in made a big difference and it's not the first time I've seen Routledge play havoc with Cardiff.

Home advanatge doesnt always help, would depend on the fans, our fans arent the best sadly

As a Swansea exile who watched the game on telly in London, I would say that the 1st half was an even affair. We prob chased it a bit more but as the home team you'd expect that. Thought Bellamy, Zaha and Jones were a threat tbh. We've got 2 big games coming up against Stoke and Palace - 0 pts out of those would put us back in the mire.

Think I watched the same game as you. Second half, you wanted it more. Only really that one moment of quality that put you 1-0 up, the other 2 goals were poor defending from us, we could have been playin today and still wouldn't have scored. Why he didn't play noone or mutch from the start is still baffling me now.

Delusional if you destroyed us in the first half and all game you would have taken the lead in the first half, read it over and realise how silly you sound.

We were comfortably in control in the first half and pulling your players all over the pitch which is the reason why the likes of Medel were blowing out of their arse by the 75th minute.

Indeed. That first 15 minutes was an onslaught and should have taken the lead. The next 25 mins was a bit more even with us in control still. The last 5 mins of the first half was again a bit of a siege again, and again should have taken the lead.
The rest was a battering.

50/50 first half, both teams failed to do anything with possession.
