Cornilious

Mon Jan 13, 2014 11:33 am

I am sorry to say that the lad looks totally lost, he does not seam to know the basics of a striker , where to run, when to run or indeed how to head the ball, in over an hour of time on the field I can only recall him trapping the ball once. There was a cross sent in from the right in injury time which had pace, angle, height and all he had to do was attack the ball and put his head through it he hesitated as if was should I do next. I am sorry to say but not only is he not ready for the first team he would struggle to get in a Welsh League team at present. £45K a week!!!!!!!!!!

We need far more threads on this topic!

Re: Cornilious

He has done more on the bench than Whittingham has done on the field. Cornelius hasn't really missed many chances as he has had none, yet Whittingham consistently wastes opportunities. Lets all jump on the 20 year old though eh?.

At least get his name right.

Has he played any development games ? If so what is his record like, and how did he perform ? :ayatollah:

i hope the boy doesn't read this forum. we need him to come good but yet his confidence will be shot with everyone making remarks about him. he's been injured for ages and only had rare sub-appearances so that's enough for some people to judge him apparently. our fans aye.

The only thing he could ever develop into is Solskjaer's tea boy. He'd probably deliver that to the wrong office.

How the hell did we sign him whoever had seen him must of been pissed can't even run.

Yes wages but lets be honest no one would take him even on a free.

In the limited (not sure how many weeks we can keep saying this) time we have see him would you take him on a free on 45k a week on 4 year deal? I wouldn't.

Find it really bemusing that everyone is jumping on the kids back - he cant help his price tag nor the wages that his agent negotiated for him

The best thing that the fans can do is really get behind this player and hope he comes good - he hasn't really been bad its just he has had almost no game time to prove himself!

Its stupid to say he doesn't know what to do as a striker as he did really well in the danish league - its just gonna take time to adapt to a much more competitive league

I will re-iterate again that Bale was almost sold to Birmingham for under £2mil - but spurs stood by him and he is now the most expensive player in football history

I hope he comes good and proves the doubters wrong - seems like a nice bloke as well and I think until he has had more game time no one really has the right to judge him - legends aren't made overnight

Don't see Ronaldo at a DVP game tonight scoring in the last minute.

An idiot could see bale was class, anyone who watches Wales see. Cornelius needs to be loaned out imo.

But he wasn't class at the time was he? Spurs fans wanted him gone - the fact is he was a brilliant player in the making who needed patience from the management and fans in order to make him the player he is today.
