Tucker: Lifting the trophy will be the most amazing event of my Cardiff City supporting life. Make sure you are there.

Blakey: A lot of weight has been lifted now. I never felt they would fail this time. A lot of happy people out there and that makes me happy.

Blakey: If I was celebrating promotion I would have gone into a restaurant, had a few drinks and ended up in bed at any time from 10pm until 6pm. The pitch invasion was superb.

Blakey: Andrew Taylor is my top 3 for player of the year, as is Marshall and Hudson.

Tucker: Marshall's save from Danny Ings was amazing. As was his against Watford in the 0-0.
Blakey: He has been like that all season.
Tucker: Kim next season will be a star in the Prem
Blakey: Ooh. Big statement!

Tucker: Maybe the rebrand has put a bit of a cloud over this but I always thought that Cardiff City could get to this point when I was watching Cardiff at places like Torquay and Mansfield. This is going to be brilliant.

Blakey: Football has changed now. Everyone has to enjoy this.

Blakey: The focus can not be 'if we beat Swansea we can go down'.
It would hurt to lose but if we are in the Premier again the following season, we could avenge that defeat.

Blakey: When we got relegated with Sheffield United we thought we would bounce straight back but it is never as easy as that. But if you do go down, you have to bounce straight back. At Bolton we did that.

Blakey: If Malky ever left Cardiff, I would like to see my mate Eddie Newton take over. He is an excellent coach and has a lot of contacts in the game.

Tucker: Di Matteo was interviewed for the job before Malky but I don't think anyone could have done a better job than Malky.

Blakey: My advice to Malky would be 'stay where you are and experience the big time first.'
It's not a case of loyalty it's common sense. If you have a good season or two in the Prem with Cardiff and then bigger clubs come forward then fair enough.

Blakey: I would love to see Aaron Ramsey back in a Cardiff shirt.

From my day, Nicky Richardson was a player who could have played in this team. He had a good touch and good body sway and a good engine. I always liked playing with him.

Tucker: I would love to see Stant playing for Cardiff now, if you could soup him up with more pace. The chants would be amazing.

Blakey: When the crowd carried me off the pitch, I was desperate for somebody to put me on their shoulders because I was so claustrophobic. It was like a schoolyard pile on!

Tucker: Aron Gunnarsson told me he was a bit scared when the fans all ran on.

Blakey: I remember scoring a piledriver at Ninian Park but the Grange End was empty so it dampened it a bit but the most important goals for me were my two against York on my debut.

Tucker: It has to Blakey's goal against Man City. I remember it well.

Re: Blakey's Boot Room 1pm: Best Question wins 2 tickets for

Mon Apr 22, 2013 12:48 pm

Blakey: I would not accept a name change to Cardiff Dragons. Vincent Tan could inject as much money as he wanted but I would never accept that. We are Cardiff City, we are the Bluebirds and we should play in blue. End of.

Tucker: The reason is simply, Mr Tan thinks it's a lucky colour.

Re: Blakey's Boot Room 1pm: Best Question wins 2 tickets for

Tucker: I bet Malky is not so happy that Mr Tan has revealed his summer transfer kitty. It shows he doesn't understand British football too well. Malky has tried to distance himself from that.
I think Malky might go for Brayford at Derby.

Blakey: The first player I would look to sign is Nathan Redmond from Birmingham. I would also look for experienced players from every squad in the Premier League.

Blakey: Langston has to be sorted right now. There will never be a better chance. We can afford it, so chop it off and it's one less thing we have to worry about.

Tucker: It would be nice but Vincent Tan really likes to play hardball. It doesn't have to be settled until 2016 so I can see it dragging on.

Re: Blakey's Boot Room 1pm: Best Question wins 2 tickets for

Mon Apr 22, 2013 1:03 pm

Tucker: Some of the Cardiff players have worked so hard to put themselves out of a job when the team goes up.

Blakey: Footballers don't like losing. Winning is bred into them and that's why they want to go up / win the league etc. Nobody is thinking about not being at the club next season. They are all champions and they are all winners. They might be a few disappointed but they will never regret working so hard.
