MALKY Mackay insists this Cardiff City squad is the tightest and closest group of players he has been involved with – as player or manager.
The Bluebirds stand top of the Championship with nine fixtures left, starting against Peterborough away on Saturday, and manager Mackay believes trust will be a major factor in the run-in.
“This is as good a dressing room as I have ever been part of,” says Mackay, who was promoted to the Premier League with Norwich, Watford and West Ham as a player.

We do have quality but it is something else that has pushed top.
I'm not sure what it is, no standout player, no top scorer.
Bunch of player who work damn hard tho. Obviously that's not enough but it's certainly not luck.
