Wed Feb 03, 2016 5:52 pm

Is what the big announcement is i have been told, have not heard of any debt to equity but still the first step to get the fans to return to the stadium.

I would love to see Bellamy in charge, but what if , and it's a big if we get promoted, could we afford to take a chance on a novice manager in the premiership. ???? :bluebird:

I am at a loss to think why so many fans see Bellamy as such the perfect choice for our next manager. Should any new manager's first appointment be at Championship level? It's a very big risk.

It won't be the announcement either. Why would we make this public with a manager still in post and two mnths of the season to go.

A bit like man city done, only bellers will have 100k to spend and tan will decide who its on yet the new man city manager will have 100million to spend

Ask Man City - they've just announced that there manager who is still in post will be replaced by a different manager next season and there are still three months to go this season.

Bellers with a good no 2 I think will work good ,keep Trollope involved too and move young to the academy and let slade move on

I believe this is absolute nonsense.
If I'm wrong I'll hold my hands up but I just can't see the club announcing this in March.

I don't think bellers would work under the conditions slade has to though wez unless tan has a different thing planned next season as in budgets and so on :bluescarf:

Red or Blue; good manager or poor, local or foreign; popular or unpopular....Its all about glory.

All this talk of glory supporters! It's not glory a lot of people want, it's to be entertained with a good brand of football. Something sadly lacking since slade took over. Personally with hands tied, ffp and whatever else has been thrown at him, well; hats off, and fair play to the man he did the job he was asked despite being the unwanted man from the off. But, IF he can get the team with a brand of entertaining football, bums will return on seats. It's simple, entertain the crowd and they will turn up on bigger numbers. And that is why so many would like Bellamy, they believe he will bring that brand with the right support.

In my opinion

In all fairness I've heard this as well so it must be more than a rumour, only sticking point is Bellamy and more to the point his great admiration for Malky who he wants to bring with him as director of football.

Jesus Christ, I've seen some garbage posted on here over the years, this has got to be up there.

Do you honestly think Malky could come back here and have a say on transfers etc after the last episode? :laughing5: :laughing5:

I wouldn't be surprised if VT has got a restraining order on him not to be within 50 miles of the CCS. :laughing6:

Correct. Well done on keeping up.

Never let your heart rule your mouth, face facts instead.

The fact is Bellamy like JFH needs to gain experience first.

Well let's take your previous manager OGS, he played higher level than CB, champions league and all, as well as playing under a far better manager than CB did.

He OGS also managed a team before and did well.

Meanwhile CB had done f**k all so far, needs to prove himself in Lowe leagues, he's a Trowbridge lad who's brains were in his boots, doesn't make a manager !!!

Agreed, complete rumour. And even if it was true I don't think Bellamy is ready for this job, people are living in a fantasy.

Nowhere near the same thing.

If we were announcing the best manager in the world coming to a club the size of and the position of Man City then it would work.

But at a club where the manager is derided in some quarters. Doing this would just make things worse for the current encumbent.

Whatever you think of Slade it'd be a bit harsh to announce his replacement and call it good news.

I would prefer Gary Neville, he performed better on MNF

I would love to see Bellamy in charge because he would only take the job if he really beleived he could do it. :ayatollah:

Considering Malky's transfers took us to a League Cup final, won us the Championship by 8 points and kept us above the relegation zone during his entire reign in the Premiership, I think it would be very good for Malky to come in and have a say on transfers. I don't know why you find that idea so funny? :?

maybe because he was shocking at premier league level in that respect.

only getting the sack before 3 or 4 hard fixtures saved Malky from taking us into the bottom 3
