Really want Buckingham. Really should have started the process so much earlier.

You could put any person in right now as a DoF and you’ll get better results. No real season preparation yet, even if they have, it’s all without a manager. Transfer targets mean nothing right now because we don’t even know the style of football or the type of players that are needed for the new manager’s system. All last minute again.

Sky Sports news just announced that City have withdrawn from involving Nathan Jones.


They also announce Wilshere being considered at Plymouth along with Buckingham and Evatt.


Mentioned that Ramsey and Brian Barry Murphy are on our list but unlikely that Murphy would drop to League1.

Wilshere has only managed two games! A novice compared to Ramsey.

Who will decide first us or Plymouth?

Depends if their club has a recruitment strategy and the new manager has to work with the players available.

Most clubs now operate like this rather than signing new squads every time you get a new manager.

I said all along this process had taken too long. Riza was sacked on the 19th of April. I get that we didn’t need a new manager in place the next week but we’re now in to June and we’re still none the wiser. There was all that info about the Wasserman agency coming in to help with the search but it seems our useless board have still managed to turn this in to a calamity.

The squad needs to be sorted. The retained list would have been decided without a new manager involved. The longer the appointment takes, the less time the manager has to get any transfer targets in that they may want to implement their style/philosophy

If the info posted last week about Buckingham about to be announced was true and then it was all put on hold to chase Jones then you have to ask if Buckingham would still want to come.

its the typical committee, then sub-committee, type situation before recomendations are made to Tan who then has different ideas so the thing is floated back the the original committee to redecide.

Lets be honest its going to be Aaron Ramsey because only our club with the three clowns running the show would spend big money on an agency to look for the best manager when the bloke who gets it is already in the building, if it is the case you could not make it up, we are just a laughing stock of a club.

In L1 we'll be the best of the rest.

The Premier League is the world league, if you are a British coach, you only get an invite if you get a team promoted.

The championship allows you a potential invite to the World League and gets your name out there. Unless you have managed in a major league at a major club the championship is the best you get to the world league. So there are decent recruits from all over Europe and further.

League 1 is for everyone else. We'll easily be the biggest club in terms of ground, training facilities, media interest, and attendance.

We are still a big draw. Play your cards right and you are in the championship; get some momentum into the championship and you can be in the big leagues.
