Was my Grandfather's funeral today Albert Hawkins. I was very privelaged to read his eulogy and it was an incredible opportunity to reflect on the quite amazing life of a truly exceptional gentleman.

There were so many people at the Chapel, easily 30 folks standing at the back and every seat full. If by any chance any forum readers were there thankyou it was a wonderful way to celebrate such an exceptional man who lived a life so full of excitement and joy.

At the end of the eulogy I asked that we share our stories of him during the wake and everyone took that to heart (there were so many stories to share!)

I noted that he was a huge City fan and if we get the win on Saturday, I know he is having a word in the right ears while looking down!

However you knew him Albert, Bert, Bertie, Dad, Grandad, Uncle Bert...

You gave us so many great memories and now is the time to rest in peace.

You will be missed but are in our hearts always xxx
