' New Years Day Consortium update. '

First of all wishing everyone a happy new year.

Last month I put the update saying there was two different consortiums being put together. One was in a more advanced stage than the other. But now the second one has come a long way and involving some serious money men who will be meeting in the third week of January in London.
But as it stands Vincent Tan is refusing to even talk to this group,due to his dislike of the man putting it together.
They wont give up and have right through Oct/Nov and Dec met up in London,they are serious about buying Cardiff City out

As of yet I have not heard any new news on the first consortium being put together, but let's hope 2015 sees the end of Tan at CCFC.

Nukes, I only know about this Consortium, You are right they are working 24/7 trying to put a an offer in place, but I cant see anything happening for quite a few months,but I do feel they have a very good chance of putting it all together.
They are meeting later this month again

Tan is a successful businessman, he needs to swallow his pride and just get this done. He wants out, we want him out, suits all parties fir him to just stop being such a spoilt child and move on.

If this is true regarding Tan refusing to speak because of his and quote "dislike" then it highlights yet again how he puts his emotions before Business like he us doing with us and the rebrand. While emotions can sometimes come in to play when doing Business the words " no friends in Business " is a true saying. Emotions should always be put aside and the Business hat put on. We know from experience that Tan finds this difficult to do but does he love his bank balance more than his pride? He would fear that a consortium would make a success of it where he has failed. The story goes on....

The obvious suggestion is Peter Lim will be the money behind it but him and Tan have a previous good relationship. Wonder if this guy could be involved too? Dr Colin Lee, who does appear to have previous with VT.

Although, unless his business plan is to get relegated and acheive attendances of under 10,000 and not sell any merchandise

Annis , the life president has always been a determined man there's no doubt about that, but determination and reality are two different things totally and it's a long time now since the life president was involved in football business that has changed totally since those old days, I was determined for years to shag Bo Derek but it never happened either.

But the main point being why would Vincent want to sell in the first place, he's not under any financial pressure at all and can just change his long term plans on one small company in his very large portfolio of business, I would imagine and only based on my opinion that's exactly what he's doing, cut back the costs and make a profitable business. That's what business is about to him.

Clearly he doesn't like the standard football business, he wants to sue every agent and manager!

Let's be honest here, that's exactly the same as when Alan Sugar entered the football business, he just couldn't get his head around it. Football is a murky business to these type of guys.

I'd take a punt that Vincent has a long term strategy attempt this time to building a club on solid foundation.

Where it doesn't need constant investment , becomes profitable and a side etc built within avoiding large transfer fees and agents costs which he certainly doesn't accept or enjoy.

He knows he can still put bums on seats ...... Just look at you , you still going to renew.

Others will too in mass and long term especially keep attracting new fans.

Your right in what your saying but as I have stayed before you can't look back, in life in general you can't look back as it gets you nowhere. People make mistakes, all we can concentrate on is looking forward and while we can't effect what Tan does we can at least try. This will all come to a head in 2015 in my opinion.

Since the rebrand, I have felt like crying - so disillusioned with it all.
