WARNOCK : THERE'S NO PLEASURE IN SENDING THEM DOWN

NEIL WARNOCK:

" There’s no pleasure in sending them down. I wanted to beat Forest especially having an interview with them in pre season. But we don’t want Wigan to have a double on us."

' I think some of you guys twisted what I actually said - what I said was his inexperience in the Championship makes it difficult.

It’s a league which is difficult to come and manage for your first time. there’s nothing wrong with saying that, it wasn’t a criticism of Warren himself. But for someone who’s never been in the Championship, it was a massive gamble and it didn’t pay off.'

The Latics will be relegated if they lose to Cardiff and Nottingham Forest beat Huddersfield. Graham Barrow's side could also be relegated if they draw, if Forest are win and Blackburn draw or win against Wolves.

It only seems like yesterday since they were taking Kav off us via a helicopter and they were heading to the PL as the big boys of the Championship. Now they look like the little club they were back in the 80's, never mind I look forward to the Wigan vs Swansea clash in League 1 in the 2018/19 season ;)

Wigan down is now a formality regardless of today's result against an often benevolent Bluebirds when it comes to being charitable to those less well off than themselves! LOL :laughing6:

City need to go up there and do a job for personal pride and for the integrity of the competition :thumbright:

It has always worried me that come the end of any given season (and in any given Division) a club's relegation or survival might be down to the simple anomaly that is the Football Leagues (pretty random nowadays) fixture generator

Club's who are 'comfortable' in mid-table might see themselves as having little to play for and might just relax and take their foot off the gas, which is unfair on a side who are playing fellow strugglers or teams going for promotion

It's my one worry about Swansea in their fight for survival. They play a Welshman-led team with little to play for tomorrow at The New Vetch and all sorts of 'survival' conspiracy theories start to enter my head, so much do I want their fans (not necessarily their club) brought back down to Earth

For the record, I actually believe that Mark Hughes won't give a flying one for Swansea City's plight and will go there to get a result  :ayatollah:
