" Worst position in the table. Look at the positives "

It's ok to be middle table and think that next season you can build on it.

It's also ok to be just surviving and being thankful for another chance.

It's even ok to realise that you are going down. After a short adjustment period, acceptance follows and you look forward to "smashing it" in a lower league.

HOWEVER, getting this close is the worst feeling in the world! Just one ref decision or a more fortunate bounce, a rattle of the woodwork. Who knows??

Everyone starts from scratch next season so back the team.

(For what it's worth, I had a mid-table 10-12 finish so it's good news in a way).

Some people are acting like we have been relegated we had a good season with what Slade has to put up with this season and something to build on. :thumbright: :ayatollah:

Malky played the most dreadfully boring anti football but pissed the league and we went up as champions

Dave Jones never hit the playoffs in his first couple of season but the football was a pleasure to watch

Slade has played Malky boring football but failed the success part. I am not sure why anyone believes this will improve either the 442 long ball down the middle or improving by at least another 10 points.

Christ, we've never been truly close to the play-offs all season except for after the Derby game when we were two points away.

How many weeks have we been in the top 6 this season?

When we we last in the top 6?

By the end of the season we could actually end up 10 points outside the play-offs due to the abject failure and capitulation of the last few weeks.

Yep exactly we have not been anywhere near good enough to reach the play offs....if Sheffield We'd hadn't gone on a bigger wobble than us over the last few games this would have been settled weeks ago!!

The table doesn't lie. Over the season a team gets what it deserves.

7th is just outside the playoffs. Why is that not respectable? The wages bill has been cut, Slade has stabilised the league standing and debt has been reduced. Not a bad achievement surely.

Do I think Slade would be OK as a PL manager? NO but give him his due.

The Championship is anything but POOR. It is the most competitive league in Europe in my opinion.
