Gutted for the fans that made the effort today

Feel really sorry for all the Cardiff fans who made the effort to travel up to Sheffield. It's a shame the team didn't make the same effort!

I've stuck up for Russell Slade from the beginning and I believe he's done a very good job overall. The state of our squad and finances are much better than when he first took over. Slade had a huge mess to sort out, inheriting an oversized, unfit squad.

We have made progress under Slade this season but I have to admit Slade has also cost us points with his lack of tactical knowledge. That's probably why Russell Slade has never won a promotion in his managerial career.

Results like today shows this is as good as it will probably ever get under Russell Slade. Slade's contract is coming to an end and it's now probably the right time to thank him for his great work and allow him to move on with his head held high and we can bring in a new manager to give us that little bit extra to take us forwards.
