' independence Scotland Yes or No? '

Sun Sep 07, 2014 7:39 pm

Would you vote for independence if Wales were in Scotland's shoes?

Would you want free of the Westminster Rule?

Due to residency rules I am eligible to vote and I am undecided.

What would you do?

Tony, I have watched hours and hours of programmes on it, read every paper as I love politics.
I dont want them to have independence as I am for Britain and us all together, but I can understand why many of them want it.

I cant stand Alex Salmond and I feel he is not genuine.

Worthy of a sticky as this is massive in the World, never mind UK, Spain are watching as there is a battle going on there as well.

So its a NO from me.

I think all the country s in UK should be independent of Westminster and make there own laws but should still have some alliance in UK

Re: indendence Scotland Yes or No?

Absolutely No, we are the United Kingdom and should remain so.

We are a United Kingdom, two World wars are testimony to that fact.

I can fully understand as to why they want it.
Salmond has said he will step down if the Yes vote wins.
I don't trust him,but i do not like or trust any political party member.
I feel I would be a hypocrite if I voted Yes seeing as i would still be a member of an existing UK nation.

I think the Yes vote will win convincingly, and as I have saive said I'm Undecided.

No - Strength in unity through the 4 Home Countries.

The loss of Scotland would also give greater power to the Tories, through the loss Labour and SNP seats in Parliament.

A lot of big businesses have said they will put their Head Offices out of Scotland which would be understandable given the majority of their business is conducted in England. However, favourable taxation may change minds.

Same situation for me. I will be voting no. I work for a British company in a small satellite office. My job security cannot be guaranteed in the result of a yes vote. It may be no longer viable for the company to operate a satellite office in a foreign country. Also there is still no guarantee on what the currency will be and there is no long term plan past say 10 years.

I can see why they want to do it because in the short term it does look beneficial for Scotland but it's a risk I cannot at this moment in time afford to take.

There is a lot of uncertainty and questions without answers IMO.

I'll be voting 'NO'

Re: ' indendence Scotland Yes or No? '

I wouldn't want independence for Wales and Scotland should say No as well.

However, a little part of me wants Scotland to vote yes so that David Cameron becomes remembered as the Prime Minister who oversaw the break up of the union.

I see there was a first ever poll today that is suggesting a yes vote and Whitehall have cacked themselves and will be offering up loads of powers to Scotland in an attempt to keep them in the UK.

I have been telling folk that if they vote yes there will be a US/UK coalition forces occupying the country to secure the black gold up north

Tony, I thought it is expected to be very close in the voting?

Yes that's just my opinion Annis.

Think the last poll indicated 51/49% yes.

definite NO, I don't always like the British government but I wouldn't trust the Senedd with my password for this forum let alone any major decisions, bunch of corrupt, incompetent Neanderthals. They can't even provide a decent level of education.

No....can't see the yes vote getting through though.

Re: ' indendence Scotland Yes or No? '

I think it will be a no but it will be close.

There's been a fair bit of criticism up here for yes voters being aggressive and generally abusive but putting under the banner of "passion".

Folk being told they are traitors and "idiots " for voting no. Anyone who speaks up for a no vote on social media instantly gets attacked and I feel it may play against them. Folk are getting sick of yes voters going over the top.

Absalutely No way the Welsh assembly would turn us into a third world Nation. They are fooking Barking. The UK together are strong apart we will be weak.

YES

Take charge yourself Scotland.
A history of achievers, innovators, scholars - theres enough wealth of mind and material in scotland to do it.
Get out on your own and get your own chunk of the world economy.

the further away you are from london - the shittier your statistics are - whether health, education, rates of pay, property prices etc.

If getting into and fighting wars is the only answer to UK sticking together, then we are all mugs.

I know its not a strict comparable but As a croatian or a bosnian if they are better out of a united kingdom of yugoslavia.

Stop being the arseholes of london and get your heads up.

Re: ' indendence Scotland Yes or No? '

It's a big yes from me . Would love Wales to be in the same financial position but would still vote yes right now if we had the vote . Need to strip down the public sector and build up the private sector though. We'd probably have to bite the bullet of 10 years of hardship before the economy started to grow ( unlike the scots who are pretty much at that level already) but then it'd be in our hands and would finally be able to shed the mantle of being one of European poorest regions....

Re: ' indendence Scotland Yes or No? '

No. No and thrice No.

The UK is minuscule and needs unity. After many years of experiencing political guff, I generally have no confidence in any mealy-mouthed 'career' politician - if someone wants to be a politician, then they shouldn't be allowed to be one. They say that business does, the government just does what it can. These clowns just tinker and fiddle as a career option as they wouldn't survive in the private sector. And can you imagine Wales pushing for the same? I am truly aghast when I see the likes of Leanne Wood & co in positions of potential power as they are beyond clueless. I like Carwyn as a bloke, seems trustworthy and heart in the right place but is this really the best talent we can offer as a leader of Wales? And this new Welsh Secretary Stephen Crabb? For real? Someone who lives near me was recently made an AM and its beyond a joke that the system allows people to be in any capacity of office when they simply just are not up to the task it in terms of experience and competence.

On a separate note, I have just cleaned the screen of my new 65" TV to remove tell-tale smear marks as a result of my ritual of rubbing my fat cock on the faces of the new Strictly bitches to wish them good luck. Winkleman's face looks like a balloon on the 12th day of Christmas and always reduces 'Mr T' to a semi. :(

Thus would be effecting everyone in the UK so we should all be getting a vote and to give 16 year olds the vote is bonkers

NO!

Looking at the future instead of now if Scotland did become independent I can only see it getting worse from there and I fear for the us in the UK.

Agree about the voting age. That was one of the SNP's tactics to brainwash the school kids and get their vote

Exactly, if they vote yes then I want everything pulled away from them, the pound, BBC Scotland, Forces bases, and so on and make sure the cunts take their share of the debt especially the one which their beloved RBS caused and stop them getting membership to the EU f**k them

Re: ' indendence Scotland Yes or No? '

Sun Sep 07, 2014 9:34 pm

I'm led to believe that RBS are Scottish in name only these days. In the result of a yes vote they will change their name to simply. " the royal bank" and relocate their headquarters to London. They would be off like a shot.
