System not connected

Fri Dec 18, 2009 10:15 pm

I have been told that the undersoil heating system is not fully conected...work will start on this Monday...hopefully the game will be on Tomorrow...there is no point making a guess, nobody will know until Tomorrow.

Plymouth match and all future games will never again be called off due to a frozen pitch.

Nothing can be done about this now and no doubt there will be many fans pissed off with this especially those who travel long distances...we have had less than 5 games called off in 20 years through this reason so it is very unusual but that is no consolation to those who will be put out Tomorrow.

Anyway, that is the situation Tonight.

Disgraceful and embarrasing if the game is off and they have not connected the system.

Thanks for the update.

Yet another cock-up from City. No matter what spin is put on it - or what excuse is used - the club messed up here.

And Im pissed off cos the whole weekend will have cost me £200 - Catching 7:48 train Wigan to Cardiff, with wife, and hotel

I could stay in Wigan but just my luck the game will be ON.

Lets be fair this is a MAJOR COCKUP.

There will be American Football Matches being played this weekend where they would have cleared 3 or 4 foot of snow. Yet we will probably have the game cancelled when there is no snow on the pitch!

Our organisation (perhaps wrong word to use) is absolutely shocking.

Hey Annis/Corky
perhaps if they paid the contractors the monies they were owed things might be finished.
Steve Borley's company was working flat out yesterday to get it working.
On another technical point as we can now assume the stadium is not actually completed will the directors who took a stadium completion bonus out of the club can now pay it back into the january transfer fund.

christ got to go there's a flying pig in the back garden

I went down this morning and to book my season ticket seat, pitched looked and felt fine to me?
Not sure about this health and safety lark? what a player trips, and lands on a blade of frozen grass and slices his leg off? besides we have another 4.5hrs before kick off..... would be fine by then regardless! what a f*cking piss take.

The referee's a wanker, The referee's a wanker, the referee's a wanker.............

Steve tried his best mate, this will cost the club maybe £50,000 and more, depending on crowd that attend rearranged match...Steve said it should be sorted Monday and no more games will get called off...It is a pain in the arse for us mate, but a nightmare for our fans who have long distances to travel

Looking at the pitch this morning with the huge canvas over it and heaters everywhere I don't think Wayne or his staff, who were working on it over night can really be expected to take the blame mate.

A flick of a switch in a system that had been fitted, tested and fully installed would have thawed the surface with ease...I know we have had only two games lost through frozen pitches in ten years but it is a new stadium and this could have been avoided...I have been assurred that work will be completed before the next match, but its a real pain for our fans who have made arrangement to attend Today...especially those from Dublin, Wigan, London, Worcester etc who had to set out early to get here.

Gutted Steve, got a ticket yesterday and this happens and first thing that came into my head was hang on PR got half a mill completion bonus on a stadium that obviously isn't complete??
