exactly, as usual with the press over here, you are only any good if you perform against England/English team. Some people act like falcao was born in August

I always said Falcao has been the best striker in the world after his first season with Athletico.

Scored 5 last night.. He signed a 4 year contract and pissed off after a week.

The post wasn't about Falcao , it was about the talent spotting at Athletico Madrid.

The funniest thing is Hicks and Gillett blocked Rafa Benitez signing Falcao for Liverpool for £3m before he moved to Porto and now they are crying out for a striker.

Im sure he played for River Plate but I could be wrong on that.

Yes I know but I dont know why Falcao is being used as an example of good scouting.

Stevie Wonder could have spotted Falcao had talent wen he was at Porto. Hes was no secret.

I disagree. Torres came through the youth system. Aguero was signed from Independiente for huge money and Falcao was also signed for huge money. Good striker scouts would be able to spot players like Aguero and Falcao at a young age to be able to pick them up for peanuts. Barcelona obviously have good scouts, they spotted Messi at a young age for Newell's tearing apart kids in youth games 2 years older than him and signed him for peanuts before his reputation and price enhanced.
