North-by-North West Ham United...

Thu Dec 06, 2012 9:38 am

Thoughts?

Renting their new ground from the council for 100 years. Some of the merchandising profits
go to the council. The profits from the redevelopment of Upton Park into a few mosques
will go to the Council. The Athletic track stays, because its the councils property, West
Spam have to put retractable seats in, and move them for Athletics events. 60,000 capacity
when most West Ham fans thought the plans to up the Boleyn Ground to 45,000 was too
ambitious. IF the Club is ever sold, the Council get a chunk of THOSE profits too. Their
supporters have got to relocate. Forget all their old traditions, old drinking haunts, old
pre-match rituals. West Ham United is gone forever.

We have a rebrand.

Our shirts could turn back to blue in a year or two. And we'll celebrate it in the same pubs,
the same area, and in a ground we can always call OUR OWN, and dont have to share with
Fatima Whitbread.

Swivel on that Daya you bitter man

Swivel ?? Can't wait sounds class !!

Great upgrade ! We need 60,000 to become ready for the Champions league each season.

Good enough for Man City good enough for us.

Far more chance of Cardiff City returning to blue than of West Ham
returning to erm..... West Ham.

You've been sold down the river to the Council. The Council own the Ground, the Council
will take a chunk of the profits from the Club shop. The council will take a chunk of the
porn barons profits from the sale of U.P. The Council wont let you redevelop in case it
affects the athletics meets it will still hold.

West Ham is an orphan, living in a childrens home.

Champions League :?

Its f*cking hilarious. You cant really use Man City as an analogy, because Manchester
IS an area with mixed support between both sides, as much as they didnt want to
move to Eastlands, its STILL a 'Man City' area.

The Olympic Village is practically Hackney, Arsenal territory (and Spurs)... Its like
Cardiff moving to Newport

The Boleyn Ground is an excellent stadium. They had been given outline planning permission
to up the capacity to 45,000 too. OBVIOUSLY big enough for West Ham (and thats not a pop
in any shape or form, 45,000 would be a hell of a crowd)

Gold and Sullivan are chasing the Arabs, hoping that in a few
years time, some trillionaire will come in and give them a HEEAUUUGE wedge of cash for the
Club. Unfortunately, Boris Johnson has them over a barrel and Newham Council have suddenly
become 'major shareholders' at West Ham Utd. I actually think its a disgrace. All their history
gone for good. All their old pubs, match day rituals, affinity to the area they came from...all
gone, because Sullivan sees £££ signs. The area the new ground is has f**k all there, its just
a disused Olympic village with Poles, Albanians and other fuckers waiting for the keys to the
living units.

Cardiff City play in red right now. But we are in the same place, we own our own ground and
our supporters havent had to change a thing. Blue may come back. West Ham (the historic
old East London Club) will be gone for good

Ah Daya... what goes around eh

How do the West Ham fans feel about this I have been to Upton Park (I know its not's it real name) a few times and always has a good atmosphere, they will be lost in that bowl....

Is this a library ?
Is this a library ?.........

Whats happening to West Ham is the same as happened with Ninian Park

But not quite....

We HAD to move, the old ground was on its last legs, and we moved a few hundred yards
away.

There is NO logic in West Ham leaving a ground that can hold up to 45,000.

Sullivan and Gold the 'East Enders, dyed in the wool'... have been enticed by the possibility
of a big sale to a rich Arab in a few years. Daya wont have to worry about colour or badge
changes by then.... cos West Ham will already be a Newham Council Franchise

In my opinion that is why they bought into whu.
Sell the ground move into a new stadium without having to pay for it then sell up.

I am not having a go at Daya but that is what I think their plan is/was.
