THE BEST ATMOSPHERE YOU HAVE EXPERIENCED

Wed Dec 05, 2012 11:00 pm

Apart from ninian park which would be an obvious choice whats the best stadium you have been to in terms of atmosphere?
for me it is either west ham away last season play off 2nd leg there place was really rocking. the other one is mabye palace cc semi final 1st leg or leicester play off semi final 1st leg was a great atmosphere mostly created by us tho :ayatollah: .

I know Leeds was at Ninian but that atmosphere was intense, even if Ninian was still open it would never be recreated.

I would say also Bristol City away when we beat them in the play/off semi final. I was really ill with man flu that day and nearly didnt go but got on the coach and it was brilliant even tho it was 0-0

Sam and the players coming over at the end, it just had the feeling of a promotion winning season :ayatollah:

I'm going to go for a strange one and say the Ryder cup at the Celtic manor.
I had security tickets to all four days which meant me being bussed in at 5am every morning. Not even the green keepers were out. But it meant I got a seat in the front row on the first tee each morning.

The atmosphere and especially the banter was incredible and on the 18th last day was even better.

And I'm not even that big a golf fan.

Newcastle had a great atmosphere when we played them a few seasons ago, probably helped though that they completely destroyed us on the pitch.

Agree with the Bristol game. It was pretty special. The first leg was wicked also.

Tottenham away in the League Cup was interesting. There was a pretty big buzz on the bus on the way up. It was intense walking to the stadium as we was parked in a school miles away. There was fights breaking out all around us. The atmosphere in the ground was also good with the banter and chants. The walk back was crazy, escort all the way back to the bus again with all sorts getting thrown in every direction and again a load of trouble through out the walk back. There was also someone on a bus that had his ear cut real bad. For overall buzz throughout the journey and the game its one that sticks in my mind.

Always a good atmosphere at the Boleyn

As for City games Bristol City play off 2nd leg was a very good one

Newcastle away was very good too

Although the Leicester play off win was prob the best at Lego land

Leeds had to one of the best ever though and quite honestly one of the best ever experienced in 40 years of watching football. Never could be recreated anywhere !

Cardiff vs Spurs.

It ended 0-0 but the fans were absolutely insane that day.

Cardiff v Leeds FA Cup. Best ever.
Cardiff v Hereford 1975 I think it was. Top of table clash in what would be league 1 now....35,000 crowd ! City won 2-0 :ayatollah:

Middlesbrough away when we made it to the semi final of the fa cup!!! The stand was shaking !!! Great day

Brizzle Sh1tty was a great night out but for me it was Burnley away in 1990/1 season (I think) when Rick Write was in charge. Burnley were going up and the noise their fans made was unbelievable. We tried to make ourselves heard but it was almost impossible.

Aldershot away before the season they went bust was also brilliant. Both sets of fans singing solidly for almost the entire game. It was like a far noisier version of trying to stare each other out and eventually we won!

Oldham away first game of the season a few years back when the whole appeared in the pitch. During the delay we were loud as fcuk!

I miss away games. I can't wait until my daughter is old enough to enjoy them so I can start going again!

You said don't mention Ninian but Leeds FA Cup is best bar none. Never to be repeated due to unique set of circumstances in our history.

I went to Dortmund last season and that was brilliant but in UK Stoke has been loud whenever I've been there.

Have to agree with this choice the noise we created was absolutely amazing and when the final whistle went grown men had tears in their eyes as we made it to Wembley for the semis. I was privileged to be there on that unforgettable day. :ayatollah:

Yes, remember it well, 35,000  more like 50,000 there that wednesday night, kick off delayed due to crowd congestion and the tannoy announcer continually telling people to move further in, away from the entrances, i'm sure allan cambell scored the both goals that night.

The millennium stadium when Wales beat Italy 2-1. What a night, the Manics playing before the game, the singing of the anthems and the atmosphere throughout the game was unreal!

I have been lucky to go to many sporting events in my time and two will stay with me The best atmosphere ever by a mile was the final day of the Ryder Cup at Celtic Manor
After this it was City v Leeds in the cup I was in the Grandstand that day and even the OAP's were chanting and shouting and I am convinced to this day if any trouble broke out they were so worked up they would have joined in as well By far the best for football for me
