Olympic stadium-west ham

Wed Dec 05, 2012 1:42 pm

The shammers are the first official bidders. How will west ham fans feel about a move there.

Loved the two times I've been to upton park a proper football ground. Very close to the pitch.

Surely this will kill the atmosphere for them. Sad day for them I think

Yeah Upton Park is one of the few proper old skool stadiums still around. I bet it will be a similar situation to us when we left NP. All of us thinking the new stadium would be amazing but by the time we got to the CCS thinking to ourselves 'well this is rather shit, wish we never moved now  '

I don't want them to get it - also isn't it treading on the "patch" of Leyton Orient? Feel very sorry for them.

I love it me. Good old Gold and Sullivan. They were after a quick buck but it looks like
their wings may be clipped on the killing they were hoping to make.

So good old West Ham, proud tradition and history are moving to Leyton. How ironic.

That ground will look shocking empty

thats my point they have lower crowds this season, so obviously not getting other fans (orient) particulaly, and yes for lots games will be lot empty seats as capacitywill be 60k :D

think the point is al that the new ground will be right in orients manor so deprieving them of young un,s who will go to west ham.the sulligolds will get their dollar from somewhere.the idea is the fill the seats (i read ages ago )with family tickets.4 for 40 quid they said.from the men who charged 48 pound per ticket to watch blues play villa ,arsenal, chelski and man utd when we were doing well but dropped the price when the ground was half full when we were struggling.market forces i believe.i also believe they will charge as much as they can get away with.sulivan in particular imo won,t bat an eyelid if he can milk the fans

So, someone who comes on to another team's message board, is telling fans to stop talking about other clubs?!

  I really can't believe the hypocrisy here.

The real hypocrite is you. Pulling somebody up for mentioning West Ham as if its none of
his business

Yet you cannot leave Cardiff City alone.

Enjoy the empty bowl. So much for West Ham and its proud heritage

And you said Gold and Sullivan were 'fans'

Cardiff City HAD to leave Ninian Park, it was falling apart.

West Ham can raise their capacity at Upton Park to 45,000 if need be

NO need whatsoever to move. Sullivan shitting on your history for a wedge

No he's not I'm afraid . But it's no concern to you anyway really is it ?

I don't mean that in a rude way - you've had your move , you in my opinion got it wrong .

Although the new statue looks nice .

I hope we learn from your mistakes - do I want to move ? No but understand the reasons why .

Do your hear Man City fans complain now ? No. They got it right.

Stadium soon became their home - looks class and they haven't rebranded.

I will await full judgement until the full plans are released. I've visited the new site and it could be a great new home if done right , at the same time it could be easy to fck it up only time will tell

OF COURSE its his concern He's a Cardiff City fan. Same as your a West Ham fan bitterly sticking your
oar into OUR business. So when you stop your bollocks, we will stop ours. Fair enough :D

Firstly. West Ham United will pretty much become a franchise for Newham Council. You will
pay them £9m a year ground rent. Also, they will be linked to your merchandising and part of
the Clubs profits will go to them. Also, your seating has to be retractable because...its not your
ground, and Newham Council REQUIRE it on occasion for Athletic events, so the Athletics track
will remain. What was wrong with Upton Park? f**k all... Outline planning permission had been
given for an extra 11,000 seats there taking your capacity to over 45,000. MOST of your fans
thought that was a bit ambitious. Now, your hoping to fill the new Council Ground with over
60,000... sorry. We both know its not happening

Meanwhile, the Old Boleyn Ground gets pulled down for redevelopment. Profits going to pay
Newham Council part of the shortfall for the ground. Of course, the Porn Kings wont be dipping
in will they

Cardiff City HAD to have a new ground. However OUR supporters still get the same buses, trains
still drink in the same pubs, same pre-match rituals we've always had. And will continue to do so
forever. The CCS is owned by THE CLUB. Its ours. We now play in Red, woopy-doo. In a few years
we will most likely be back in the traditional blue. Rebrand, not good, i hate it.

But your Club is about to get sold lock stock and barrel to Boris Johnson

WHEN you cant fill the Athletics ground... Will North West Ham have to go on benefits?
