So many to choose from :ayatollah: Either Leeds 2002, QPR play off final for me or Turners equaliser against liverpool last year. Havent gone that mental in a long time.

Another one would have to be Middlesborough away in the Fa Cup when we got to the semi final. Was a long long journey there and back but was a great feeling

Also, a strange one maybe.

West Brom at home, midweek when Hartson played for them. The atmosphere that night
was incredible. The poor feller got destroyed by the City crowd. Bob Bank, Grange End
and Block A... everywhere.. it was just a torrent of deafening abuse. For a bloke like
Hartson (who lets be fair is no pussy) to be battered so badly mentally by the crowd that
he couldnt trap a bag of cement   THAT was Ninian Park for me :D[/quote]

That was the first game I took my daughter to. Brilliant atmosphere and you see how shaken he was. Finished a draw if I remember correctly :ayatollah:

Close behind Leeds, has to be the 2-0 win over Brum at the beginning of the 06/07 season for Cameron Jerome's return - he took some stick that day and the game finished with a police chopper flying overhead - brilliant atmosphere which we'll never see again

Does anyone else remember the game against Burnley in our final season at Ninian Park?

It was 0-0 when Darren Purse gave the ball away, and we were quickly down a goal.

From the kick off, there was some spectacular movement from Bothroyd and McCormack and it was 1-1 in an instant.

Two minutes later, more fantastic work from the front two led to Jay scoring and turning it around to 2-1.

Odd one for me to remember, considering how many other games of greater quality there have been, but that was a fantastic comeback.

Do doubt in my mind it has to be march 9th 2008, when we beat MIDDLESBROUGH IN THE QUATER FINAL OFF THE F.A CUP
the long journey home was like a dream knowing we would play at wembley something i think if we are all honest we didnt
think we,d ever see--- i went to every game in the cup that year, chasetown was a good un as well

When Chopra scored against the Jacks in the dying moments is probably my favourite moment as a City fan. The Jacks singing "You'll never beat the jacks!" just before made it even more special and sweet. Most of the crowd stayed behind for about 20 minutes after aswel to celebrate! Probably the 1st time I truly believed we'd make the Premier League!

When Kuyt scored - the team looked absolutely knackered , but when he scored, being in that crowd of people was something special :ayatollah:

Re: What was your most memorable city moment?

OK, as an avid reader on this board, not such an avid poster, i feel the need to add my two penneth here.
I was skinny litttle runt of a 17/18 yr old at the time, 20-21 years ago, i worked and lived in Port Talbot, Knew all the PVM, but wasnt one.
City were playing the Jacks, at the vetch, M4 from Port Talbot onwards was police checks for any cars full of lads. Everywhere was buzzing, I couldnt get a ticket, so my work coleague at the time, (a Jack), offered me a ticket in the home end. f**k it thought, ive got to go.
Fully wrapped up and stood on the north bank, surrounded by filth, and police, City, take a one nil lead, with a half way line lob, who i think was scored by either Carl Dale, or Phil Stant. I went mental!!! got dragged from the north bank by the law, frog marched down the side of the pitch, struggling to do the iyatolla at the Jacks, with bottles, and beer cans thrown at me, some of which im sure contained Jack piss, and low and behold, thrown into the away end, with the boys, who preceeded to lift me up in the air and throw me around everyones head, shouting "BLUEBIRD! BLUEBIRD!" directly at me!!! I was king of the world that night!!!!!!
We won the game 0-1, and took all took the escort back to the train station, only to be told the train was going straight through to Cardiff, no stops, so i thought sod it, ile get the next one.
As the train pulled out, i was faced with 200 odd Jacks on the opposite platform. OH f**k!!
I then got escorted to the law shop, where i phoned my old man, and he came and picked me up.
I could have had those Jacks that day on the other side of the platform, they were only Skewen or Neath Jacks, but i let em be!
What a f*cking night game i will cherrish forever!!!!!!
More recently, singing "we'r not f*cking scared!" to Freedman, followed by a convincing win against the Eagles! Priceless!!!!
BBBLLOOOOBBBIIIRRRDDDSSSS!!!!!

Strange one this, because I've had lots of memorable moments following cardiff, UPS and downs. But 2008!! Banged up in swansea prison. All the Cardiff boys banging on there cell doors chanting..."BLUEBIRDS'BLUEBIRDS" when the final whistle went after we beat boro in the f.a cup Q game. The "ooos" and "arrrrrs" during the game coming from the wing while the game was going on' then the release from all the Cardiff bois when that whistle went at the end!! It was a special feeling! It seemed like the whole of swansea prison was full of CARDIFF!! Even some of the screws were clapping Lol most the inmates from cardiff in there at the time probably didn't even give a fuk about football usually! But that day, they all came alive and nailed there colors to the mast.. That's what made it so special for me. Tears in my eyes.

Cardiff v Real Madrid. Walking under the boarded Grange End at the start and listening to the thunder of feet. 11 years old with my dad in the grange end. Didn't see the goal as it went beserk before the ball hit the net. Came out of the ground with 47,000 others after the game and it was gridlocked. A car had got caught between the exits and was only visible as a rise in the supporters head line.
Cardiff v Hereford. Old 3rd division. 37,000 in the ground for a midweek game. 2-0 city I seem to remember. Me and my Dad standing under the floodlight, corner of Bob Bank and Grange End.
Big game under floodlights is always special - thats why my sons first game was a floodlight mid weeker. God, the pitch didn't half look green under the NP floodlights.
Cardiff v West Brom. Hartson game. Sat with my Dad on the Bob Bank. Listening in denial to the 'mild' abuse that Hartson was getting. I turned to my Dad and said 'I don't know why they don't take Hartson off, he can't move'. My Dad said 'Well you know why that is......He's a fat Jack b*stard'
They were good days and nights at NP.
