JANUARY TRANSFER TARGETS

Mon Dec 03, 2012 8:17 pm

If the chatter is true and Malky *is* looking to bring in four new players during the January transfer window, who would you like to see in a City shirt?

I personally would like to see two new defenders, a midfielder and top striker:

Jon Flanagan (Right Back) - Liverpool - Loan
Ryan Taylor (Left Back) - Newcastle Utd
Pajtim Kasami (Midfielder) - Fulham - Loan
Charlie Austin (Striker) - Burnley

Man City's John Guidetti (Striker) and Newcastle's Gael Bigirimana (Defensive Midfielder) are two others I would like to see signed up - both on loan, of course.

Noticed that

Great goal for a defensive midfielder!

Saying that, with Newcastle's current injury problems I highly doubt he'd be available!

Would be great in this team - plus he has a lot of time for Malky apparently.

Would fans be able to get over his childish twitter digs at Cardiff City though?

Alan Curtis and Robbie James would have called us worse

They were welcomed

If Graham performed well for us, I'd warm to him. After all, he's no Trundle, Tate etc

We played at Slough in the cup one year and I remember Leggy getting a bit of abuse. He soon won us over though - fantastic pro

Because every time we speak to Jacks all we will hear is how we get their rubbish hand me downs. Good player but no thanks.

Rather Jerome back.

i very rarely speak to jacks.

Didnt they have feeney off us on loan recently? just the way it goes.

if the right player is available at the right price, i dont care who he plays for.

Graham > Jerome

Re: JANUARY TRANSFER TARGETS

Ryan Taylor is a good shout to be honest.

Charlie Adam? No. :o

Re: JANUARY TRANSFER TARGETS

I'd rather Graham than Jerome any day of the week, the problem with Jerome was he always thought he was better than he was.

Jerome's feat of scoring 20 goals in the last season he was with us hasn't been repeated since, Danny Graham is a consistant 15-25 goal a season striker who has proved he can score goals in the Premier League too.

So what if he's a jack?, talk about cutting your nose off to spite your face.

Surely if we take one very good player from them and gain promotion, we wouldn't have to even consider taking their "rubbish hand me downs."

If it means improving the squad, Graham should be more than welcome.

I said Charlie Austin. ;)

Re: JANUARY TRANSFER TARGETS

Tue Dec 04, 2012 12:14 pm

I think the following could be possible and would definitely take them :-

John Guidetti - Man City - loaned to feyenoord 23 apps 20 goals 8 assists
Ángelo Henríquez - Man Utd
Nick Powell - Man Utd
very very doubtful but worth a cheeky loan bid - Florent Malouda - Chelsea
Jack Robinson - Liverpool
Danny Wilson - Liverpool (he's back from Bristol in Jan)
Marc-Antoine Fortuné - West Brom
Chris Wood - West Brom
Ross Barkley - Everton
Apostolos Vellios - Everton
Sébastien Squillaci - Arsenal
Marouane Chamakh - Arsenal
Francis Coquelin - Arsenal
Ignasi Miquel - Arsenal
DJ Campbell - QPR
Kerim Frei - Fulham (We'd have to play him this time)
Stephen Kelly - Fulham
Jay Rodriguez - Southampton
Jos Hooiveld - Good cover out of favour at Southampton

I'm sure there's a few I've missed but I think these will improve our squad and are realistic loan targets,
