Scott Sinclair anyone ?

Mon Dec 03, 2012 6:34 pm

Manchester City have said he could leave in january !
I think that Sinclair could be an ideal replacement for maynard. Even though he is a former jack i think he is well proven at this level and could give us that extra quality.
The only bad point is Wage Bill / Transfer Cost !
Thoughts anyone ?

I'd have him any day, Why the hell did Man City Sign him? absolute waste of money.

He can play center forward easily ! In the hole behind helguson

Re: Scott Sinclair anyone ?

Mon Dec 03, 2012 7:05 pm

- He's a Jack
- He's a winger, not a striker
- He's way too good for the Championship

It's a no goer.

You could turn that question around and ask why the hell did he sign for Man City? When he joined us from Chelsea, all he talked about was how important playing regularly and settling down was, and then of all the crazy moves, he heads off to Man City!

Still puzzled that Brendan Rodgers didn't try and sign him once he was available?

Man City paid well over the odds, as soon as he decided not to sign a new contract he was made available... We would probably have accepted a fair bit less.

Whatever he's worth or not worth, he's been a very silly boy.

One thing ill say for your board they do business on their terms and drive a veru hard bargain.

Michu must be worth 7 / 8 times what you paid for him.

Obviously not a Mancini signing.

Never in a million years a title contending / champions league team player

Wasnt even the best winger at Swansea

Decent championship player but I'd be looking for a more out and out striker if we were spending millions on someone.

Yeah, I also asked why the hell he would wan't to sign for man City, It was obvious he wasn't going to play.

Re: Scott Sinclair anyone ?

He's proved that he can play a big part in getting a side into the Premier League. If at all possible, I would love to have him in our side. Alan Curtis, Andy Legg and a few more played for Swansea, but later joined us. Don't see a problem there. Sinclair is not exactly Trundle or Tate, is he?

Re: Scott Sinclair anyone ?

Mon Dec 03, 2012 8:51 pm

He's already played for both us and Man City this season so my understanding is that the only way he can play for another club this season is on an emergency loan.

And I'm not 100% sure he'd be allowed to do that? :?

Not 100% certain but i think FA rules stat that a player can only have 2 clubs in a calendar year (it might be season though) which is why Velikonja can't go out on loan as he has played for CCFC and Maribor

That was one permanent team and two emergency loans. I don't know if having played for 2 permanent teams this season if he could now also go on loan?

I think he could, but not sure.

Regardless though, I highly doubt he will drop down to the Championship even if it does mean playing games.

Cardiff loan wasn't an emergency loan deal.

I doubt it either.
