Binge drinking shame filming scrapped by Welsh Government

Mon Dec 03, 2012 10:21 am

What are they afraid of?
Will it blow the myth of the friendly, good natured, no trouble atmosphere of the thugby international weekends?

Whatever their reasons it could help reduce the drink related incidents and violence in the city centre.

Most of us have done stupid things when drunk (some cannot remember, others even deny it) so surely this is a wake up call for these situations?

My opinion is that an overstretched health service has better things to do than look after drunks (cost, time, resources).

Maybe a better system is that you pay for treatment, when getting treated for being so drunk? If you can afford the booze you can afford the treatment.

Opinions?

Long live the NHS. But for how long can we afford it?
The idea is to treat people in need. But so much now seems wasted on avoidabe, self inflicted matters, which reduces the resources needed for illnesses and injuries that are unavoidable.
