2) University of West Virginia
3) University of Calfornia Pennsylvania

Don't know much about the USA but forget Seattle, due to the weather (you'll still think you're in Wales), forget West Virginia, due to the backward country people there and your 3rd option, is it California or Pennsylvania?

Cheers Nedd. Pennsylvania, apparently there's a place called California there just to confuse everything
I'll probably stick closer to home anyway (France, Italy etc) as I prefer Europe. Just thought this list looked interesting.

The bloke I know lives in a town called Mansfield, so there's some English thrown in as well. The Welsh connection is due to all the mining, I suppose.

And because the USA was founded by lots of immigrants from European countries.

As for Pennsylvania, you would be close to some really cool cities. Not sure there would be much to do there in California, PA but you would be able to drive to New York, Boston, Philly, or other interesting places.
West Virginia, is nothing like Virginia. Those are two distinct places. West Virginia is like a southern state in that it has a lot of rural area, but without the really laid back polite southern charm. It would be my last choice.
But you would enjoy any of the three IMO, and would miss out on a good chance. The people over here are really cool. In spite of the negative stereotypes, Americans (maybe except for New Yorkers) are a pretty gracious people.
