Connolly to left back?

Mon Nov 26, 2012 6:55 pm

As he can apparently play anywhere across the back 4, and is left footed, would you switch him to cover left back? You could then use either Cowie or Gunnar at right back, leaving Mutch to partner Whitts in central midfield.

I know Declan John is another option but is it right to just drop in into Championship football? I'd rather he was brought in gradually ideally but obviously we're in a tricky position with so many out.

Craig Conway can play full back as well mind, played in that position a few occasions for Dundee.

Give John a chance. I rarely like a midfielder playing at fullback just makes me worry more.

MM said in a recent interview he likes a left footer as left back, that's why he didnt switch connally over and player Gunnar at RB when Taylor got injured.

I reckon Taylor will be back but if not Ralls or John.

It looks like Kev, Turner and Tayls all won't be back for tomorrow so I would imagine John or Ralls will play left-back. Connolly could easily play there though and he did so for Reading last season for a few games. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:
