INVEST MILLIONS INTO CARDIFF TO PROFIT FROM LOAN RATES?

Thu Nov 22, 2012 10:02 pm

Is that basically what has happened to us over the last 10 years.

was this the plan all along ?

Theirs no way self made millionaires who succesfully manage their own wealth. can accidently put a football club into debt...
its always been about the interest fee's and making the profit back by putting us into debt that will inevitably have to be payed back.

no person, no matter how wealthy they are, wants to throw their money away! every owner wants to get their money back + more when they sell up!... there's only a few exceptions to this, like Man City!

He's probably making profit back as we speak , from the debts we have

Am I missing something here?
You say he is making money from the loans? At only 7% that is a very low interest rate from a very high risk loan.

Even if he got the 7% rate paid, what about the capital amount, as he will never see that again unless the club is very successful.
So he invests £50 million, and MAY get 7% interest rate (£3.5 million pa). So in 15 years the interest he receives will be the amount he puts in to the club. So no better off and he has risked £50 with nothing back for it. Why not put the money in the bank and get £35 - 40 million in interest and his capital is safe?

Therefore as I see it he is risking a lot of money for no return, and your arguement that people are making money form interest rates/lending to the club is basically flawed (sorry).

It's not rocket science lets be fair.

Who's business is advertised all over our stadium and how many people watch the premiership all over the world each week.

I'm sure millionaires have bigger and better ways to make money then playing around with 7% interest on little football clubs

If it was all about interest them I'm sure he would have asked for more than 7%.
I believe other loans the club have are higher interest loans.

My option is he added 7% because its the same as what Langston are having. It would be silly for Tan to give us an interest free loan while langstons loan gets bigger and bigger and in turn more powerful.
