the radio today was saying minimum wage to rise 7.45ph

fat chance of that happening in cardiff :lol:
most retail stores are paying people 6 / 6.50 an hour.... 7 if lucky

Have I missed something? or what , I doubt the likes of agency's and macdonalds etc, will be paying people 7.50 plus an hour

It's what Labour plans to bring in if they win the next election, and it wouldnt be a legal requirement

No it is the so called "living" wage that has gone up to £7.45.

Unlike the minimum wage there is no statutory backing to this. It is meant to be the lowest wage which people can live on.

Some firms are paying their staff this rate voluntarily.

Many more are still just abiding by the minimum wage

my basic is just over that, if I wasn't able to earn uncapped on top I'd rather have a wank over phillip schofield, it just wouldn't be worth it,
could earn more than that gambling, with all the free time and benifits you could claim

The Polish and Latvian governments must be pleased with this --even more of them will come over here now

3 Slovakian Gypsies and a Hungarian. just started as cleaners in my place --they couldnt get anyone else

Are you sure the slovaks r not jacks :lol:
