This season Malky has brought in new players and changed the formation at home playing a far more attacking 4-4-2 and the results show the difference that has made.
Why when we have such depth in the squad do we sit back when we go away from home and hope for a point? We NEVER start playing until we fall behind and then all of a sudden we wake up and there is totally a different tempo. Why don't we play attacking foot ball from the start. How can MM say we were in control of the match yesterday. Yes we had 53% possession in the first half and Bolton 47% but we only had one attempt, i.e the goal.
We will not get promoted on our home form alone. The run will not continue forever and when we start losing home matches unless our away form improves dramatically we will slide down the table. It was good to see MM pick a more attacking away team yesterday but attempts on goal were non existent, Its like watching two different teams (home/away). The other question is what has Etien got to do to get a game ? scores 3 in a reserve game and he cannot even get near the bench.
