TEAM V BURNLEY?

Wed Oct 24, 2012 9:27 am

So, looks like Tommy Smith and CB39 will miss Saturday through injury and Malky has some decisions to make.

I think he'll go with something along these lines...

Personally I wasn't sure about Conolley at right back - He's good on the ball but wont go forward. And the same with Cowie in the middle - Malky's son may have awesome stamina levels but last night he could only pass sideways or backwards.

If Mutch is anywhere near being fit I think Malky will get him on the bench and try and work him back in.

With CB39 out again Mason will probably get the nod which will free up space on the bench for Etien Velikonja (who is due game time).

Should be another tough game.

That is what I am afraid of. Son Of Malky wide giving us absolutely f**k all width with Gunner returning even though he has been woeful of late. Conway/Kimbo should play but this is Malky we are talking about here.

When Cowie goes wide they double up on Noone and make it so much harder for us to hurt teams. This is even more apparent when Bellers is out as they are our genuine place players.

Mason worries me this season, looks a shadow of himself from last season. Give Velikonja a go please Malky!

With him not looking to play Kiss, Kimbo and Etien this supposed great squad isn't as strong as everyone seems.

So Cowie as right back and 2 attack minded centre mids????

I take it this is a joke?

----------------------Marshall-------------------
Connolly------Hudson-----Turner------Taylor
---------Gunnar------Whitts------Cowie-------
-------Mason--------Helguson--------Noone

Subs: Lewis, Kev, Kimbo, Mutch, Conway, Velikonja, Gestede

That's what I think we'll go with, but I'd put Kev in before Connolly.

Would be a travesty if either Cowie or Connolly are dropped - our two best players last night.

Always the possibility to try Aron out wide?

Marshall
Connolly Turner Hudson Taylor
Noone Whitts Cowie Gunnar
Helguson Mason/Gestede

The more I think about it the more I think Malky will start Cowie wide right & Gunnar will come back into centre mid.
