Do i think our luck will hold up?? who knows, obviously time will tell on that matter, there is no doubt that to get out of this league you need a good quality squad, which we have and a big slice of luck at vital times in the season, we have blown so many chances over the last four or five seasons that most city fans will not believe it's on until we are over the line, most of the blown opportunity's have been down to bad management (dj) and too many bottlers/showmen on the pitch, but there is no question we have not had the luck you need at vital times, swansea for example, had a huge amount of luck when it mattered, ie, in the two semi-finals forest they hit the woodwork three times and in the final when reading got it back to 3-2, monk some how deflected a goal bound shot away without knowing anything about it, but that's just what teams need, so being one of the older city fans who has seen far too many false dawns, i'll wait until february and then see where we are. For what it's worth i think you'll stay up this season, i think you squad/team is not as good as last season but there are four or five teams in the premiership who are poorer than yourselves, you must make sure you get results against them away.
