Sky Sports understands Cardiff City are set to offer a short-term deal to Danish triallist Ibrahim Mansaray.

The 19-year-old defensive midfielder, who left Brondby at the end of last season, started training with the Championship high-flyers at the start of October.

And he has impressed Bluebirds boss Malky Mackay to earn a contract until January, which the Welsh club then may decide to extend further.

Sierra Leone-born Mansaray, who can also play in defence, chose to leave Brondby when his contract expired to pursue a career in England.

He was training with non-league Peckham United as he looked for a Football League club before linking up with Cardiff

I would think he would be part of the U21 set up.

Still good to see them brining in more younger players for the future.

Spot on mate. Will become part of the development squad alongside Harris, Nugent, Tommy, etc etc

He isn't going to get anywhere near the first team, that much is obvious.

Cardiff City Offer Deal To Danish Triallist

Cardiff City are set to offere a short term contract to Denmark's young midfielder Ibrahim Mansaray who was recently handed a trial by Malky Mackay.

Mansaray has impressed during his short spell training with City and is expected to sign a deal that will see him remain with the Bluebirds until the new year at least. If signed, he is likely to join fellow young prospects in the CCFC Development squad. The likes of Theo Wharton, Kadeem Harris, Tommy O'Sullivan and Ben Nugent have formed a strong core of promising young talent and are highly rated.

With players like Filip Kiss and Stephen McPhail unable to get near the Cardiff City first team at present, and players like Joe Ralls seemingly next in line if we suffered an injury crisis - Mansaray would be some way from breaking into the starting XI.
